About the job Site Engineer – Urban Development (Subdivisions)

Site Engineer – Urban Development (Subdivisions)

Location: South East Queensland

Build It Right—From Day One

Every subdivision looks clean and simple when it's finished.

Straight roads.
Level lots.
Services exactly where they need to be.

But anyone who's worked on one knows the reality—it's complex, fast-moving, and full of variables.

At our client, getting it right starts on site.

As a Site Engineer, you'll be at the heart of delivery—working alongside supervisors, project managers, and crews to make sure projects are built accurately, efficiently, and without surprises.

This is a role for someone who wants to be close to the action—not stuck behind a desk.

Why This Role Matters

Subdivision projects are won on paper—but they succeed or fail in the field.

Your role is to:

  • Turn drawings into reality
  • Solve problems before they impact program or cost
  • Keep the job moving while maintaining quality

When this role is done well, projects run smoother, risks are reduced, and teams perform better.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be embedded in delivery, working across all aspects of subdivision construction.

You'll:

  • Support the day-to-day delivery of subdivision projects on site
  • Interpret drawings and ensure works are constructed to specification
  • Manage QA documentation, ITPs, and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers
  • Assist with programming and tracking progress against key milestones
  • Identify and resolve site issues—especially around services and ground conditions
  • Support cost control, variations, and reporting
  • Work closely with survey teams on set-out and verification

You'll be part of the team making sure the job actually works—not just looks good on paper.

What Makes This Role Different

At our client, you won't be boxed into a narrow function.

You'll:

  • Be exposed to the full lifecycle of subdivision delivery
  • Work closely with experienced supervisors and PMs
  • Get hands-on with real site challenges—utilities, drainage, staging, sequencing
  • Be trusted to take ownership as your capability grows

There's a clear pathway into Project Engineer and Project Manager roles.
