About the job Lead Planner

A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, with complex greenfield delivery requiring integrated schedule management across design, procurement, civil, station, systems and commissioning disciplines. The head contractor is seeking a Lead Planner to own schedule development, management and reporting for the greenfield delivery scope. You'll integrate multi-discipline schedules, manage critical-path analysis and support progress measurement and change control with advanced Primavera P6 expertise and strategic planning capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedule in Primavera P6
  • Integrate design, procurement, civil, station, systems and commissioning activities
  • Perform critical-path analysis and identify schedule risks and opportunities
  • Support schedule-related aspects of change control and variation assessment
  • Produce schedule reports and progress tracking information for leadership
  • Facilitate planning workshops with senior delivery personnel
  • Monitor schedule performance and forecast project completion
  • Support resource planning and levelling activities
  • Coordinate with procurement, design and construction teams on scheduling
  • Maintain schedule documentation and audit trail

What We're Looking For

  • Degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, project controls or related discipline
  • 10+ years' planning experience on infrastructure or complex construction programs
  • At least one program of $100m+ in value
  • Advanced Primavera P6 expertise (must be named on CV)
  • Critical-path analysis and schedule management experience
  • Integration of multi-discipline schedules across design, procurement and construction
  • 2+ years' average tenure per employer with at least one planning role held for 3+ years
  • Experience leading planning workshops with senior delivery personnel
  • Progress measurement and earned value analysis capability
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
