Our client in Melbourne requires a Business Development Manager on behalf of a niche engineering consultancy with a great network and understanding of engineering consultants, who their clients are and will be, and the ability to self-perform in the BD role.
Roles will include
- Identify business opportunities and growth areas with new and existing customers.Leverage your extensive network within the civil engineering and infrastructure sectors to identify and secure new business opportunities, particularly within Tier 1 & 2 civil contractors
- Develop and manage strong and trusting relations with new, current and prior business connections.
Prepare and present growth strategies and plans to meet and exceed established targets. - Actively and successfully manage the sales process: prospecting, preparation, approach, presentation, objection handling, negotiation, closing and account management.Maintain and grow a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of client projects. Prepare and present rolling monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
Research, monitor and report on trends and industry developments within the market and competitor analysis to inform business strategies.
Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System including activities, opportunities and appointments. - Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
