A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, with significant brownfield delivery in and around operational transport assets. The head contractor is seeking a Training Coordinator to coordinate competency systems, inductions and training programs for the project. You'll manage learning management systems, maintain competency matrices and mobilise high volumes of workers with consistent, quality training delivery to ensure the workforce is equipped for complex, regulated construction work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage learning management system (LMS) administration and competency matrix maintenance
  • Coordinate site inductions, toolbox talks and competency assessments for high-volume worker mobilisation
  • Create and maintain training records, compliance documentation and audit readiness
  • Liaise with training providers and rail operators to deliver specialised competency programs
  • Monitor training completion rates and identify gaps in workforce capability
  • Support continuous improvement of training delivery and assessment quality
  • Manage training budgets, scheduling and resource allocation
  • Respond to competency requests and manage emergency response training
  • Produce training reports and metrics for project leadership
  • Work with supervisors to embed training outcomes into day-to-day operations

What We're Looking For

  • Relevant qualification in training, human resources, business administration or project support
  • 3+ years coordinating training or competency systems on a $100m+ project or regulated industry
  • Hands-on use of learning management systems and competency matrices
  • Experience with high-volume worker mobilisation and induction delivery
  • Strong spreadsheet, database and reporting capability
  • 2+ years' average tenure per employer with at least one training role held for 2+ years
  • Current construction induction card and ability to access operational work areas
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Attention to accuracy and compliance detail
  • Ability to work with diverse learners and adapt delivery approaches
