Cook / Chef

Bensonhurst Center (Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility is looking for Cook/Chef to join our dynamic team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and engaged.

Responsibilities Are But Not Limited

• Follow recipes and prepare dishes
• Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for cooking
• Weigh and measure ingredients
• Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables
• Basic cooking functions such as preparing sauces, soups and stocks
• Label stock and inventory all ingredients
• Temperature Logs must be maintained on the daily basis
  

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and listen to team members
• Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal
• Experience as Cook/Chef for minimum of 3 years
