Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the Financial Reporting (including R2R and Statutory Reporting), Cash Management & Treasury (including P2P, O2C) and Governance workstream
  • Financial Policies, Guidelines, and Protocols: Create a plan to deliver and review financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice
  • Financial Management and Control: Develop and/or deliver a plan for significant aspects of the financial management and/or control process.
  • Reporting: Record to Report (R2R)
  • Act as the ledger owner of Singapore entities (VTS, VTP, VHS, VGT and VAS)
  • Responsible and to ensure timely reporting and fair representation of Financial Statements in accordance to Vopak Accounting Manual
  • Develop deliverables and KPIs for R2R
  • Plan, execute and monitor accordingly to ensure all deliverables and KPIs are met
  • Resolve any related issues that affects deliverables and performance of KPIs
  • Statutory Reporting: Act as the ledger owner of Singapore entities (VTS, VTP, VHS, VGT and VAS)
  • Responsible and to ensure timely reporting, fair representation and filing of Financial Statements in accordance to local GAAP
  • Develop deliverables and KPIs for Statutory Reporting
  • Plan, execute and monitor accordingly to ensure all deliverables and KPIs are met
  • Resolve any related issues that affects deliverables and performance of KPIs
  • Cash Management: Responsible for management of treasury matters, financing, dividends repatriation and partnership with Global Treasury
  • Develop deliverables and KPIs for Cash Management, P2P and O2C
  • Plan, execute and monitor accordingly to ensure all deliverables and KPIs are met
  • Resolve any related issues that affects deliverables and performance of KPIs
  • Governance: Responsible for robust governance agenda to drive sustainable and enforceable policies and controls including prequalification procedures, annual Control Risks Self Assessment (CRSA) and periodic Business Process Review (BPR)
  • Develop deliverables and KPIs for Governance
  • Plan, execute and monitor accordingly to ensure all deliverables and KPIs are met
  • Resolve any related issues that affects deliverables and performance of KPIs
  • Responsible for business partnering engagements with terminals or functions to optimize cash positions, overall control and governance responsibilities
  • Lead and develop regular business partnering review and operating rhythm with terminals and functions to ensure full potential realization of financial performance
  • Develop tools or dashboards for One VTS Leadership team to make informed decision
  • Develop deliverables and KPIs for business partnering engagements
  • Plan, execute and monitor accordingly to ensure all deliverables and KPIs are met
  • Resolve any related issues that affects deliverables and performance of KPIs
  • Co-lead Finance Transformation project in preserving and creating value through continuous improvement in processes, increase utilization of systems or technology and development of high performance team
  • Lead and plan financial system upgrades, conversion or improvements
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement initiatives in respective workstream
  • Demonstrate progressive effort and outcome in preserving and creating value
  • Responsible for training and supervising team members
  • Train, coach and guide the team members in operational efficiency
  • Responsible for developing direct reports
  • Support overall talent development effort in Finance team
  • Manage and develop people to ensure a cohesive and motivated team
  • Lead and encourage team members in a positive manner to adapt to changes in the companys direction
  • Manages, motivates and develops staff in respective team of the Finance department

Requirements:

  • Degree in or professional qualification in Accountancy
  • At least 8 years in financial accounting experience and leading a team
  • Member of ISCA is preferred
  • Good communication, interpersonal and business partnering skills
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and people management skills
  • Performance driven
  • High level of integrity for financial stewardship
  • Meticulous, analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Business Acumen
  • Stakeholder relationship and management skills
