Position Description

Key responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Engage proactively in ensuring the spare part operation meeting given target and expectation in workshop operation as well as retail sales.
  • Continuously improve aftermarket offers by adding value on our product
  • Support and attend customer in their administration need in aftermarket
  • Support the reporting in spare parts sales and site support to the management
  • Responsible for ordering parts from Volvo and other suppliers
  • Responsible for planning, long and short terms of needed parts stock
  • Ensure the parts in stock is regularly updated and relevant with regards to vehicle population in the area of responsibilities
  • Regularly liaise with Service Advisor, Service Manager & Foreman to ensure parts stocks were up to work and market requirement.
  • Prepare parts quotation based on customer and service advisor enquiries.
  • Handle parts warranty and ensure all claim procedure following Volvo process and procedure.
  • Maintain parts stock register in Local Dealer System (LDS)
  • Responsible for stock control
  • Responsible for goods receiving, discrepancy and binning
  • Responsible for parts information
  • Ensure scrapping of obsolete parts if and when Volvo so require
  • Responsible for the parts warehouse and the warehouse organization
  • Lead, supervise and control the work performed by the parts assistant
  • Responsible for the parts warehouse to be clean and tidy
  • Adhere to Volvo value, Volvo processes and policies
  • Any other duties assigned by your immediate superior

Your Profile

  • Diploma or Degree in any related field
  • Competencies required, taken from the Volvo Leadership competencies (see competencies below)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in inventory activity, preferably within automotive industry or related end user businesses related to truck industry
  • Business orientated with strong retail mindset
  • Able to drive competence development
  • Ability to manage and drive a wide range of diverse issues
  • Good knowledge of the sales businesses process
  • Excellent knowledge in inventory administrations and systems
  • Share common values with Volvo value, Code of Conduct, high ethical standard
  • Computer literate & fully proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Good communication skill and pleasant Interpersonal skills
  • Good negotiating skills
  • Good planning and organizing
  • Good analytical skills
