About the job IT Executive
Responsibilities
Main Function to support Head of IT in overseeing SCCPLs infrastructure and projects in the following areas:
- Hosting (including cloud)
- Network, covering LAN, WAN, Wireless
- Telecommunications, covering VHF, IP telephony
- End User Computing
- Local Ops Devices Management and Level 1 Support
Hosting Support And Maintain Server Room And Equipment
- Oversee the management of our equipment in our local server rooms. Obtain quotes for services and parts. Manage vendors to maintain and resolve issues
- Apply timely software / firmware patches to servers (including storage), and review post-patch functionality
- Create and update comprehensive documentation on servers, including hardware, configuration, functions, etc.
- Review, update, and implement server protection and access control policies
- Identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities in servers
- Provision and de-provision resources in our cloud
- Support project teams when the latter require cloud resources
End User Support
- Provide Level 1 end-user support on issues with Active Directory (AD), Office365, hardware (including local devices in Ops areas, e.g., printers, bar code readers, displays, etc.), network and various proprietary software (SPOS, EIDS, VMS)
- Liaise with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve problems
Manage And Maintain Network Infrastructure
- Ensure network (LAN, WAN and Wi Fi) is working properly
- Apply timely software / firmware patches to network equipment, and review post-patch functionality
- Create and update comprehensive documentation on network, including hardware, configuration, functions, etc.
- Review, update, and implement network protection and access control policies.
- Identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities in network
- Review and remediate vulnerabilities arising from VAPT
- Assist with projects affecting AD management, network, security, design, and maintenance
Projects
- Assist with gathering and compiling project requirements specifications
- Conduct tenders and source for quotations from vendors
- Raise purchase requests and arrange for vendor payment, in accordance with procurement procedures
- Monitor vendors to ensure projects are delivered up to quality, on time, and within budget
- Participate in change management, incident review, and root cause analysis
General
- Occasionally must carry out work during non-office hours, go on site to support ops, and be on standby duty from time to time
- Manage and work with auditors, by gathering and documenting evidence that policies are adhered to
- Assist with estimating and compiling IT budget
- Assist with drafting and reviewing IT policy and approval papers
- Work on ad-hoc tasks assigned by VP and M (Technology & IT)
Requirements
- 3-4 years of relevant experiences in IT support and projects
- Proficient with M365 suite
- Knowledgeable in the setup and configuration of Windows, Active Directory, Network equipment, and common IT equipment (e.g., printers, bar code readers).
- Knowledgeable in Windows Server Administration in a virtualized environment
- Knowledgeable in Public Cloud
