Job Description
Accounting and Administration Manager
We are looking for an Accounting Manager / Assistant Manager to supervise, track, evaluate and perform day-to-day accounting activities. Accounting Manager / Assistant Manager responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information.
Responsibilities
- Manage and perform the daily operations of the accounting department using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and ensure timely and accurate completion of the following (including but not limited to):
- month and end-year process
- accounts payable/receivable
- revenue and expenditure variance analysis
- capital assets and all other reconciliations including stocks inventory
- fixed asset activity
- Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements and analytics to support a structured monthly financial review and monthly management/financial reporting (local/HQ)
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Establish, implement and improve systems, processes, procedures policies and initiate corrective actions
- Preparation of corporate income taxes and indirect tax reporting including the submission of quarterly GST and corporate tax returns.
- Prepare analyse and provide require information for the forecasting and budgeting exercise as per corporate guidelines
- Coordinate and liaise with corporate secretarial agents and ensure all required documents and submission are completed and complied with statutory requirements.
- Coordinate and liaise with IT service provider or software consultant on any IT related issues including hardware purchases, software projects, setting up new IT equipment and access rights for staff.
- Manage and perform all general administration duties including purchase and maintenance of office and telecommunication equipment, and general issues.
- Other adhoc duties as assigned
Requirements and skills
- Proven working experience as Accounting Manager / Assistant Manager or Accounting Supervisor, with minimum 5 years work experience in accounting and tax practices
- Minimum a Diploma in Accountancy
- Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data with good analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Ability to direct and supervise
- Ability to work independently
