Job Description

1. Position Overview

The CMO operation manager executes Strategic and tactical planning and management for Contract Manufacturing sources. And the CMO operation manager ensures effective 360-degree communication and cross-functional support for day-to-day operation and issue management.

2. Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Continuously manage and review the supply plans, CMO inventory, and operations plans to ensure undisrupted supply from CMOs and provide product supply status information to the supply chain manager.
  • Manage purchase, ordering, logistics, invoice verification and the daily end to end procurement process within the Celltrion ERP system and aligning all supporting functions needed
  • Proactively manage CMO manufacturing slot planning, booking and logistics plan to support mid to high volume manufacturing
  • Identify and collaborate on Supply Chain Management initiatives (Inventory Management, Lead-time reduction, Cost reductions)
  • Identify and implement improvements to the Outsourcing and Contract Manufacturing process that enhance Customer Satisfaction, accelerate Supply Chain ramp to volume, reduce Cost and closely monitor Inventory levels
  • Be the point of contact for invoices reconciliation of accounts payable and receiving discrepancies, the Invoice and payment schedule monitoring
  • Risk mitigation, including Excess and Obsolescence management
  • Negotiate, review, and execute SOWs and Service(supply) agreements with contract manufacturing organization
  • Support/Conduct supply chain, strategic vendor and CM communications for multiple locations status and report to executive management
  • Partner closely with key business partners across various departments within the organization to ensure all business requirements are incorporated into sourcing strategies
  • Develop, present and execute cost savings and/or cost avoidance initiatives
  • Collaborate with logistics in Goods receipt process management such as customs clearance, logistics and tax affair, etc.
  • Analyze CMOs performance and Identify, develop, and drive sourcing initiatives and strategic plans across greater organization
  • Negotiate, manage, coordinate, and support sourcing and/or relocation projects, including managing competitive bids, RFx, obtaining quotes, examining proposals, analyzing bids, etc.
  • Trouble shooting on Manufacturing, Logistics and Delivery and support Quality and RA for trouble shooting

3. Required Qualifications (if needed Desired Qualifications)

  • Bachelors degree in Science, Supply Chain, Operations or related field
  • At least 5 years of management experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain or Outsourcing management preferably in Pharmaceutical industry or related experience
  • Strong working knowledge of cross border CMO management and logistics including manufacturing operations/import/export and customs clearance
  • The ability to adapt to rapid change, wear multiple hats, and work under pressure
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • High attention to detail and above average organizational skills
  • Ability to operate and execute effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and challenging deadlines
  • Must be customer oriented, flexible, team player, improvement minded, initiative taker, proactive, with good judgment and decision-making ability
