Our Opportunity

Chewy is looking for a Learning and Development Manager to join our Practice Hub Team. The position will serve as an owner of the onboarding experience and continuing education for Practice Hub Teams and external clinic staff. The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for elevating the learning experience while transferring knowledge on policy, procedures, and culture. Our Learning and Development Manager ensures a consistent and meaningful learning experience that impacts performance for all Practice Hub teams onboarding at Chewy and external clinic staff.

What You Will Do

  • This position will be a hybrid role of Instructional Design and training. The L&D Manager will split their time between content creation and delivering said content to trainees.
  • They will be the manager of all Practice Hubs internal and external training content.
  • Creates, maintains, and updates training content for both internal Chewy staff and external vet clinic staff that is polished, professional, and Chewy branded using a range of content development tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, and Camtasia.
  • Create dynamic blended learning content ranging from Instructor Led Training to e-Learning and role play scenarios and video content.
  • Create, upload, and monitor self-led training through Cornerstone (Learning Management System).
  • Deliver consistent and effective content-based training to Practice Hub teams by using blended learning methods. An L&D Manger will be certified in all training programs and will be able to support across the board programs (including New Hire during ramp) based on business needs.
  • Facilitate engaging ILT (Instructor Lead Training) and VILT (Virtually Instructor Led Training) experiences.
  • Report on trainee class wins and opportunities to managers and stakeholders post training
  • Evaluate new training and content creation requests and drive alignment on requirements across stakeholders.
  • Coaching trainees in real time in a direct, positive manner and providing corrective action when necessary.

What You Will Need

  • Three years of experience in designing instructional content (I.e., instructor led training, e-learning creation/ facilitation, video creation and maintenance, etc.).
  • Three years of experience delivering training programs and/ or educational programs.
  • Proficient in Articulate Rise, Storyline, Camtasia and/or Adobe Suites.
  • Familiar with the ADDIE model for content creation.
  • Familiar with working in a Learning Management System (preferred Cornerstone but not required).
  • Demonstrates strong experience in facilitation with knowledge of adult learning theory
  • Able to lead and develop new hire trainees through the onboarding experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and able to effectively communicate with a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into action and drive successful outcomes
  • Well-versed in training, facilitation deliverables
  • Proficient with Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.)
  • Travel may be required (25% of the time)
