Responsibilities
Clinical Governance and Management
- To plan and manage the care of individual patient during non-invasive and invasive procedure in a safe and competent manner.
- To assist in the implementation of standards and procedures.
- To maintain current trends in practice and management through formal education and self-development.
- To demonstrate competency in specialised skills.
- To ensure customer satisfaction and follow through quality and services issues.
- To provide information and education to patient and relatives on the pre and post services and procedures.
- To understand the radiology safety policy and comply with it to ensure safety of patients and other personnel at all times.
- To identify and prepare the instruments or equipments required by doctors in the performance of procedures.
- To ensure safety of patient when applying principles and knowledge of contrast media, taking into consideration the contra-indications and history of patient.
- To monitor and evaluate patients response and condition during procedures.
- To escalate pertinent information to physician if patients condition requires.
- To ensure safe handling and familiarization of all medical equipment to avoid incorrect usage.
- To bring to the attention of the seniors, who will determine the nature of the fault, when equipment breaks down or is not working optimally.
- To respond and handle emergency situations in an efficient and calm manner.
- To apply infection control practices and standards.
- To be familiar with Meditech system and ensure compliance in documentation via the appropriate angiography system.
- To work closely with nurses and allied health workers and support staff to ensure patient care is met.
- To perform other assignments as and when required by the Nurse Clinician/ Manager.

To participate in departmental/hospital projects relating to quality
improvement and others to ensure improvement in work processes and
quality of work.
Finance Management
- To assist in the inventory checks, control and replenishment of consumables and other supplies within the department.
- To ensure correct billing of consumables used and procedures done for patients.
Requirements
- Candidates with Nursing background preferred.
- Certificate or Diploma in Medical Technology (Cardiac Technology).
- At least 2 years of clinical experience preferably in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
- Knowledge of hospital policies, work instructions and current trends in cardiovascular practice.
- Possess certification of at least BCLS with or without AED.
- Possess sufficient theoretical knowledge and competent to perform diagnostic and interventional services.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
