About the job Imaging Service Engineer
DESCRIPTION
Perform installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks on diagnostic medical equipment specific medical devices. Inspect, test, replace and adjust malfunctioning components and parts. Keep records of system problems and issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs general equipment repairs.
2. Performs preventive maintenance.
3. Maintains files, supplies, and parts.
4. Maintains knowledge current within field.
5. Perform cost containment measures by sourcing the most cost efficient measures to maintain
diagnostic equipment.
6. Communicates with staff and customers.
7. Works on high tech diagnostic imaging equipment.
8. Maintains regulatory documentation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Exceptional Communication and Customer Service Skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex information related to the malfunctions of clinical equipment as described by clinical staff in determining equipment operational condition and ability to follow complex written instructions, perform tasks and document actions taken.
- Ability to perform during emergency or stressful situations.
- Ability to learn equipment maintenance and repair procedures from courses, service engineer
representatives, and training materials. - Computer and typing skills.
- Perform equipment database documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Associates degree in Medical Electronics, Electronic Technology, Imaging Service Technology or a
related field OR related military training.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Radiology Equipment Service (CRES) and/or Certified Laboratory Equipment Service
(CLES) preferred but not required.
Vendor raining preferred.
Required Citizenship / Work Permit / Visa Status
US Citizen / Green Card holder
Must-Haves
Min. 7+ years experience with MR and CT equipment. GE or Siemens preferred
