Summary of Job Duties:

  •  Performs machine setup, operation, and first article inspections on Swiss machines: Tornos Deco and Citizen Swiss CNC machines
  • CNC Programming is a plus
  • Able to troubleshoot maintenance and quality issues on the machine
  • Assists in meeting production schedules
  • Assists in meeting quality requirements
  • Communicates problems and procedural issues
  • Suggests improvements for production and quality
  • Works effectively in a team environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs machine setup and first article inspection
  • Performs required machine maintenance
  • Assists in training other machinists
  • Ensures production priorities are followed
  • Makes management aware of any quality/production problems
  • Uses microscopes, callipers, micrometres, weights, optical comparators and other inspection devices
  • Verifies accuracy and completeness of all paperwork

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum HS diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years in a CNC Swiss machining environment
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with all other personnel
  • Ability to follow directions and perform complex duties
  • Good hand and eye coordination
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Good interpersonal skills
