Monday - Thursday: 9 hours / Friday: 4 hours

4Creeks is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Licensed Architect to join our design team. As a Licensed Architect, you will lead the design and execution of complex architectural projects, providing innovative solutions and ensuring high-quality outcomes. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural principles, building systems, and client management, along with the ability to mentor and guide junior architects. You will collaborate with clients, project managers, and other professionals to bring creative and functional designs to life while ensuring compliance with regulations and project goals.

Responsibilities for this position would include but not be limited to:

  • Lead the design and planning of architectural projects from concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with client needs, project goals, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation of architectural designs, drawings, models, and specifications, ensuring that all deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, budget, and functional requirements, and translate these into creative and feasible architectural solutions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior architects, providing guidance on design, technical details, and project management.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and consultants to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical systems into building designs.
  • Review and approve design documents, ensuring they meet industry standards and codes, as well as local zoning regulations.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring the timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, provide technical advice, and ensure design integrity is maintained during the build phase.
  • Provide technical leadership on complex design problems, offering innovative solutions while adhering to cost, time, and regulatory constraints.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, effectively communicating design concepts and project status.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, building materials, technologies, and sustainability practices to incorporate into design strategies.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by preparing proposals, participating in client meetings, and supporting the acquisition of new projects.
  • Ensure that all design work complies with safety standards and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelors in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  2. Licensed Architect (RA, AIA, or equivalent professional certification required).
  3. Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in architectural design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  4. Proven ability to lead and manage complex architectural projects from concept to completion.
  5. Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite).
  6. Strong understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and industry regulations.
  7. Expertise in sustainable design practices and familiarity with green building certifications (e.g., LEED).
  8. Experience with both commercial and residential projects is a plus.
  9. Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  10. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  11. Ability to manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely project delivery

Compensation

The salary will be determined by the candidates skill and experience level and highly competitive with industry standards. The benefits package includes full employee health coverage (50% coverage for dependents), company 401(k) contribution, and performance bonuses. The expected salary range for this position is $110k-$140k.
