Position Overview and Key Responsibilities

4Creeks is looking for a self-starter to join our IT team. 4Creeks needs a technical IT professional with customer service experience to assist with daily IT operations, serve as a staff resource, and help with projects to expand and improve our operations. This role will report to the Technology Operations Manager and will work closely with our outsourced MSP as an onsite resource to assist with service, projects, and improvement.

This is an administrative role with an emphasis on the operational and managerial aspects of the IT department, not traditional tech support. This role incorporates elements of a traditional in-house IT position with aspects of support and management typical of roles within MSPs. We have a co-managed IT environment supporting 200+ staff with offices in Visalia, Clovis, San Luis Obispo, Tulare, Hanford, and Denver, CO.

Responsibilities for this position would include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as Primary Contact for our MSP
    • Function as the primary resource for our outsourced IT team (Managed Solution) when any support tickets are escalated to internal IT to resolve
      • MSP handles all triage and ticketing and escalates to the internal team when needed
    • Maintain regular communication with our MSP and their service team
    • Oversee MSP performance to ensure IT service meets expectations
    • Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement those solutions
  • Manage IT Equipment and Supplies
    • Manage IT equipment inventory, including purchasing IT supplies and devices
    • Maintain current asset information in an asset tracking system
    • Responsible for workstation, conference room, and desk setups (including hotel desks)
    • Track IT expenses and upload receipts for all purchases
    • Provide recommendations for procurement strategy
  • Manage software vendor relationships
    • Main point of contact for account managers with all key software vendors
    • Contract maintenance is aware of expiration dates, licensing needs, expected seat count, etc.
    • Coordinate software and license renewals
  • Serve as staff resource for enterprise-wide software
    • Application champion for software and tools that impact all staff members (Microsoft Suite, company intranet, cloud storage platform(s), collaborative management software, etc.)
    • Primary in-house resource for training, education, and best practices for those applications
    • Conduct basic staff training (including first-day experience)
  • Support
    • Provide in-person support for hardware or desk-related issues (as needed)
    • Work with IT MSP to resolve complex technical issues quickly and with minimal disruption
    • Assist in executing specific major IT projects and infrastructure upgrades
    • Maintain current documentation of troubleshooting and resolutions in a document management system.
  • Provide and participate in weekly updates to the People Operations team
  • Occasional after-hours support/projects
  • Take on additional duties and responsibilities as needed within the organization to address various tasks beyond traditional IT support.

What this job isn't:

  • Not expected to spend your day responding to support tickets
  • No direct reports coordinate and communicate expectations to MSP, nor manage their help desk

This role may require overtime and occasional work outside of traditional business hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. B.S. in Information Systems, Computer Networking, Computer Science or related degree
  2. Minimum 1 year (3 preferred) of experience in IT Administration, technical support or MSP service roles
  3. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with little/no direction
  4. Entra, M365, and Active Directory administration experience (1+ years)
  5. Networking and server management (1+ years)
  6. Demonstrated performance in consistent team collaboration and successful end-user communication

Compensation

The salary will be determined by the candidate's skill and experience level and highly competitive with industry standards. The benefits package includes full employee health coverage (50% coverage for dependents), company 401(k) contribution, participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), and performance bonuses. The expected pay range for this position is $35/hr to $40/hr.
