Water Team

Job Location: Visalia

Schedule: Monday - Thursday: 9 hours / Friday: 4 hours

Position Overview and Key Responsibilities:

4Creeks is seeking a Field Monitoring Technician to work under the direction of a Water Program Manager on our Water Consulting team. This position will be office and field work with site visits as necessary. Field work will be at project sites and are typically within a 50-mile radius of Visalia. Responsibilities for this position would include:

  • Ensure the quality of equipment, provide accurate field updates and information for office staff.
  • Keeping the team up to date on field status updates, schedule, and any potential issues.
  • Coordinate and execute field data collection and/or site observations using standardized procedures.
  • Perform a supporting technical role in more complex projects that include data management and evaluation with routine to advanced analysis.
  • Perform or supervise field assignments that require judgment and experience. Receive guidance from Water Program Managers on non-routine, complex projects and assignments.
  • Client Interaction developing effective communication skills while scheduling and performing field activities.
  • Prepare detailed work plans for various projects.
  • Interpret data and test results to support project objectives.
  • Technical Reports: Write comprehensive technical reports documenting findings and recommendations, with some assistance.
  • Manage and be responsible for specific components of projects as assigned. Assist Water Program Managers on large, more complex projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. The position requires a B.S. in Environmental Science or 3+ years of related field experience.
  2. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  3. Capable of taking direction and completing work with basic supervision
  4. Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel is required.

Preferred skills

  1. Preferred but not required: bilingual in English/Spanish. Bonus points for proficiency in reading and writing in Spanish.
  2. Working knowledge of California water issues, regulatory programs, water solution design principles, and exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  3. Proficiency in standard engineering or geological techniques and procedures.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and organizational skills
  6. Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools

Compensation

The salary will be determined by the candidates skill and experience level and highly competitive with industry standards. The benefits package includes full employee health coverage (50% coverage for dependents), company 401(k) contribution, participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), and performance bonuses. The expected pay range for this position is $25/hr to $35/hr.
