Location - Visalia, CA
Work Schedule - Monday-Thursday-9 Hours, Friday-4 Hours
Responsibilities
4Creeks is seeking a Water Policy Manager to work under the direction of a Department Manager of our Water Consulting Team. This team works in a fast-paced environment with driven and growing individuals supporting water quality and water quantity in the Central Valley. Responsibilities for this position include:
- Provides technical and policy support to the General Manager in areas of water service contracts,
- Central Valley Project and State Water Project operations, water rights and permits, and other matters of water policy.
- Grow and maintain expertise around California state water policy and impacts
- Build relationships with partner organizations, including agricultural, environmental, and others around California water policy
- Support regular (quarterly, monthly, or weekly) team meetings with project partners, agency officials, and stakeholders
- Educate key decision-makers around policies that impact their districts
- Develop written reports on relevant policy
Minimum Qualifications
1. The position requires a B.S. in Political Science, Water Resources, Planning, or a related field from an accredited institution
2. Experience in politics, policy writing, lobbying, or stakeholder management preferred
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role
4. Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, is required
Compensation
The salary will be determined by the candidates skill and experience level and highly competitive with industry standards. The benefits package includes full employee health coverage (50% coverage for dependents), company 401(k) contribution, participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), and performance bonuses. The expected pay range for these positions is $80,000-$100,000 annually; however, it is dependent on years and level of experience.
