Engineering-in-Training Responsibilities

4Creeks is seeking an Engineer-in-Training to work under the direction of a Professional Traffic Engineer or Professional Engineer on our Traffic team. Focus would be on our traffic/transportation planning and engineering design projects. Responsibilities for this position would include preparing engineering technical reports, exhibits, calculations, and construction plans and estimates. Other responsibilities may include drafting topographic surveys, technical specification writing, site visits, and documentation of site conditions for typical traffic and civil engineering projects. This position will primarily entail office work.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. The position requires a B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field. Emphasis in transportation engineering is a plus.
  2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
  3. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge in preparation of plans, engineering design for various traffic and civil engineering projects, an Engineer-In-Training Certificate, and exceptional written and oral communication skills. Experience in traffic/transportation planning and engineering and/or local government.
  4. Experience using AutoCAD (version 2009 or higher, Civil 3D preferred).
  5. Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, is required.

Compensation

Salary will be determined by candidates skills and experience level and is highly competitive with industry standards. Benefits package includes full employee health coverage (50% coverage for dependents), company 401(k) contribution, and performance bonuses. The expected pay range for this position is $35-$45/hr.
