Aerospace Engineer

We are seeking a detail-focused, knowledgeable and professional Aerospace Engineer to join our client's team! The ideal fit for the role will have a strong background in aerospace engineering and a passion for all things space. The key focus of the position is to ensure suitable engineering methods and techniques are applied to ensure the best possible result for the product being produced.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate designs, amend and improve designs and ensure that all designs meet the required standard and engineering principles.
• Design a variety of crafts, including aircraft, spacecraft, satellites, and missiles.
• Create and develop prototypes.
• Test prototypes of efficiency and viability.
• Ensure that prototypes function according to their design and are fit for purpose.
• Direct and coordinate the overall design and manufacture of crafts.
• Review and make assessments of project proposals to ensure viability both financially and mechanically.
• Determine if proposed projects will meet safety standards and engineering protocol.
• Make inspections of damaged or malfunctioning products or prototypes and ascertain the problems, offer remedial solutions to problems, or fix problems if viable.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or above in Engineering or related field
• Strong educational background in Math, Physics, and other science subjects
• Demonstrated experience in a related field through internship or externship
• Strong knowledge of aerospace equipment and their uses
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, and diagrams
• Strong analytical skills, with keen attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good report writing skills
• Strong manual dexterity
• Good problem-solving abilities
• Ability to prioritize own time and workload
