A private 96' Motor Yacht is seeking an experienced Deck/Stew to join the vessel ASAP. 

The yacht is currently based in Newport and will return to Florida in mid-October.

This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable working on deck and can also assist with interior duties. The ideal candidate will be confident with lines, fenders, anchoring, windlass operation, docking, and general deck maintenance, while also being willing to help with the interior.

Responsibilities include:

• Deck operations and general deck maintenance
• Handling lines and fenders
• Assisting with anchoring and windlass operations
• Docking and maneuvering assistance
• Washdowns and keeping the exterior in excellent condition
• Assisting with interior housekeeping and service
• Supporting the owner and guests during trips
• General duties associated with running a private yacht

The current crew will consist of the Captain and Deck/Stew. A chef will be brought on when the owners are onboard.

The owners are scheduled to arrive in Nantucket on Friday, August 23, for approximately two weeks. The yacht typically operates with the owners and another couple onboard, so the successful candidate should be comfortable working around guests and maintaining a professional, discreet service level.

Requirements:

• Previous yacht experience preferred
• Strong deck skills and comfortable working outdoors
• Confident handling lines, fenders, and anchoring equipment
• Positive, hands-on attitude
• Professional presentation and strong work ethic
• Non-smoker
• Must be comfortable assisting with both deck and interior duties

Salary: $6,500/month
