Position Overview:

My client is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as its CEO. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the company's overall vision, strategy, and execution to achieve its goals. This role requires a dynamic individual with deep expertise in climate solutions, carbon markets, and sustainable development. The CEO will drive growth, ensure operational excellence, and solidify Wave BCGs position as a leader in the climate solutions industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement the company's vision and long-term strategy, aligning with global climate objectives.
• Lead the exploration and pursuit of new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market expansions.
• Ensure the achievement of financial and operational targets while fostering innovation in climate solutions and carbon markets.

Climate Consultancy:

• Oversee the creation and implementation of comprehensive carbon footprint assessments and decarbonization strategies for clients.
• Ensure the successful delivery of climate consultancy projects, including target setting and the execution of decarbonization initiatives.
• Collaborate with clients to deliver customized solutions that meet their sustainability goals and regulatory requirements.

Carbon Credits Project Development:

• Lead the development of carbon credit projects under local (TVER/TVER Premium) and international standards (VCS, Gold Standard).
• Focus on nature-based solutions, including projects in sustainable agriculture and reforestation/afforestation.
• Manage project development teams, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Trading and Brokerage:

• Oversee the trading and brokerage operations of carbon credits and renewable energy certificates.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and market participants.
• Ensure that trading activities are compliant, transparent, and aligned with global best practices.

Financial Management:

• Manage the company's budget, financial performance, and reporting processes.
• Drive profitability and growth, ensuring the achievement of financial objectives.
• Engage with investors and stakeholders to secure funding and support for the companys projects and initiatives.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and sustainability.
• Attract and retain top talent, offering opportunities for professional growth and development.
• Lead by example, upholding ethical practices, integrity, and a commitment to sustainability.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience with a proven track record of success.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of sustainability, carbon credits, climate consultancy, renewable energy certificates, and related standards (e.g., TVER, VCS, Gold Standard).
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability in strategic thinking, decision-making, and leading diverse teams.
• Market Insight: Extensive knowledge of the ASEAN regions climate policies, market dynamics, and regulatory environment.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, partners, and regulators.
• Innovative Mindset: Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and adapt to emerging trends in the climate solutions sector.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is advantageous.
