Residential Property Legal Secretary/Assistant - AKA Chief Organiser
Location: North Hampshire (Where parking is a 5-minute stroll and lunch breaks come with a side of scenic charm)
Hours: Part Time over 3-5 day per week or Full Time
The Firm:
Our client is a well-oiled property machine, where paperwork meets professionalism, and occasionally, a cup of tea with a side of "let's get this contract moving!" Their busy Winchester Property Department is looking for a superstar legal secretary/assistant to support the Managing Director, (he's in the office next door, so expect the occasional knock), and keep things running smoothly across the department.
The Role:
You'll be the right-hand person for all things property-related: transfers, completions, Land Registry magic, opening and closing files, digital dictation and copy typing, client liaison, and more. No fee-earning, no legal ladder climbing, just straight-up property perfection. You'll have your own office four days a week, but don't worry, others are close by if you need some friendly banter. This position is replacing a long-time team member, so were looking for someone who can hit the ground running!
What Were Looking For:
- Experience as a property legal assistant, paralegal, or legal executive (you know your way around a Land Registry like nobody's business).
- Career Legal secretary/Assistant or Paralegal You're happy being the backbone of the operation.
- Skills that pay the bills: excellent attention to detail, top-notch communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- You've got the digital dictation game on lock, and case management systems don't scare you.
- A sunny disposition positive, friendly, organised, and ready to meet deadlines with a smile (even when your handed one more SDLT return at 4:45 pm).
Your Superpowers Include:
- Preparing legal documents with the speed of a ninja and accuracy of a laser-guided missile.
- Making Land Registry applications, SDLT returns, and online searches without breaking a sweat.
- Opening and managing both paper and electronic files like an organisational wizard.
- Being a liaison extraordinaire talking to clients, solicitors, estate agents, lenders, and possibly even that one eccentric client who insists on handwritten notes.
