About the job Remote | Physics Expert (High Energy / Mathematical Physics) — $80–$160/hour
We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced Physics Experts in high-energy physics, mathematical physics, holography, and gravitational theory with strong expertise in AdS/CFT, on-shell gravitational actions, Weyl–Fefferman–Graham gauge methods, tensor algebra, and boundary curvature invariants.
Selected professionals will contribute to a frontier research-level benchmark involving holography, AdS/CFT, Weyl anomalies, and higher-dimensional geometric structures in dimensions up to d8d \leq 8. Contributors may participate as Solvers, Auditors, or Adjudicators depending on subfield expertise, seniority, and hands-on research experience. No prior experience in AI is required.
Key Responsibilities
Holography & Gravitational Analysis
- Solve and review research-level problems involving AdS/CFT and holographic dualities
- Derive and evaluate on-shell gravitational actions, boundary contributions, and regularisation procedures
- Analyse bulk-boundary relationships and near-boundary geometric structures
- Work with Weyl–Fefferman–Graham gauge and Fefferman–Graham-type expansions
- Identify conceptual, sign, convention, or methodological inconsistencies in technical derivations
Tensor Geometry & Weyl Anomalies
- Develop and verify complex tensor expressions, curvature tensors, and geometric invariants
- Check contractions, index structure, symmetry properties, and dimensional consistency
- Analyse boundary curvature invariants and higher-dimensional structures up to d8d \leq 8
- Derive or verify holographic Weyl-anomaly expressions
- Compare alternative formulations and assess mathematical and physical consistency
Benchmark Review & Adjudication
- Produce complete research-level solutions as a Solver
- Audit tensor algebra, derivations, and physical interpretations
- Compare competing approaches and adjudicate technically disputed solutions
- Identify geometric, algebraic, conceptual, or methodological errors
- Document assumptions, reasoning, and conclusions with research-level precision
Ideal Profile
- Advanced expertise in high-energy physics, mathematical physics, holography, or a closely related field
- Strong direct experience with AdS/CFT and holographic dualities
- Demonstrated familiarity with on-shell gravitational actions
- Extensive knowledge of Weyl anomalies and Fefferman–Graham expansions
- Familiarity with Weyl–Fefferman–Graham gauge methods
- Strong command of tensor algebra and differential geometry
- Experience with boundary curvature invariants and higher-dimensional geometric expressions
- Strong analytical and mathematical reasoning skills
- Ability to communicate complex theoretical-physics concepts clearly
- Experience reviewing advanced theoretical-physics research is highly valuable
- No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required
