Remote | Human Data Manager — $40–$60/hour

We are sharing a full-time opportunity for an experienced Human Data Manager with strong expertise in project management, data operations, quality analysis, workflow optimisation, and human-data systems to support advanced AI training and operational initiatives.

The role focuses on building reliable data workflows, improving operational performance, analysing datasets, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating cross-functional execution. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

Data Operations & Workflow Management

• Design and manage workflows for data annotation, collection, processing, review, and analysis
• Maintain consistency across high-volume human-data operations
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and operational risks
• Improve workflow scalability, reliability, and handoffs across project stages
• Support human-in-the-loop processes used in AI training and evaluation

Project Management & Performance

• Coordinate projects across operational and analytical workstreams
• Track milestones, deliverables, dependencies, blockers, and execution risks
• Establish and monitor KPIs across quality, throughput, efficiency, and workflow performance
• Translate operational metrics into actionable recommendations
• Maintain visibility and accountability across distributed teams

Data Analysis & Quality

• Analyse datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities
• Review data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
• Investigate recurring quality issues and recommend corrective actions
• Develop clear analytical summaries and reporting frameworks
• Measure the impact of workflow and process improvements

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with technical, operational, analytical, and business teams
• Align data workflows with broader project objectives
• Communicate findings, priorities, and issues clearly
• Maintain process documentation and structured operational records
• Contribute proactively to problem solving and continuous improvement

Ideal Profile

• Demonstrated experience in data analysis, annotation, workflow optimisation, or related operational work
• Strong project-management and operational judgement
• Familiarity with data operations and process improvement
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ownership
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, distributed environment
• Engineering or technical background with an operational focus is advantageous
• Experience with human-data projects is beneficial
• Familiarity with Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Python, SQL, or comparable tools is valuable
• Experience in data management, AI/ML, or process optimisation is beneficial
• No prior AI-training experience is required
