We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced Senior Hospitalist Clinical Reviewers with strong expertise in inpatient care, clinical quality, documentation review, medical auditing, quality assurance, and complex clinical judgement to contribute to an advanced AI training and clinical evaluation project.

Selected professionals will review inpatient cases for clinical quality, documentation accuracy, and appropriateness of care, while helping refine the standards and guidelines used to evaluate complex clinical scenarios. The work requires senior-level hospitalist judgement, strong written communication, and the ability to explain nuanced clinical decisions clearly and consistently.

Key Responsibilities

Inpatient Clinical Review

  • Review inpatient cases for overall clinical quality and appropriateness of care
  • Evaluate whether documentation accurately reflects the clinical picture
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or concerns within complex hospital cases
  • Apply senior hospitalist judgement to ambiguous or unusual scenarios
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency across case reviews

Clinical Judgement & Case Evaluation

  • Assess difficult cases requiring nuanced clinical reasoning
  • Distinguish routine variation from clinically meaningful concerns
  • Identify areas requiring clarification, escalation, or additional review
  • Support decisions with appropriate clinical standards where relevant
  • Apply practical attending-level judgement to real-world inpatient scenarios

Documentation Quality & Medical Auditing

  • Review clinical documentation for completeness, clarity, and internal consistency
  • Identify documentation issues that may affect interpretation of care
  • Apply medical-audit and quality-assurance principles
  • Support accurate and defensible review of inpatient records
  • Contribute to consistent documentation-review standards

Quality Assurance & Guideline Improvement

  • Help improve review guidelines and quality standards used in clinical evaluation
  • Identify recurring patterns of ambiguity or inconsistency
  • Contribute expert feedback that strengthens review frameworks
  • Support calibration across difficult or borderline cases
  • Help maintain reliable and reproducible evaluation standards

Clinical Feedback & Project Collaboration

  • Provide clear written feedback explaining review decisions and rationale
  • Participate in discussions involving complex or unclear cases
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve clinical questions
  • Document findings in a structured and accessible format
  • Communicate clinical reasoning effectively in both written and verbal formats

Ideal Profile

  • MD or DO
  • 10+ years of attending-level hospitalist experience
  • Strong background in inpatient medicine and clinical decision-making
  • Experience with clinical quality, documentation review, medical auditing, or QA
  • Excellent clinical judgement across complex or ambiguous inpatient cases
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain medical reasoning clearly and defensibly
  • Experience with hospital quality assurance or medical-audit processes is highly valuable
  • Experience contributing to inpatient quality, documentation-improvement, coding, or QA programmes is advantageous
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Strong attention to consistency, accuracy, and clinical standards

  • Fully remote
  • Compensation: $70–$100/hour
  • Work will involve inpatient case review, clinical-quality evaluation, documentation assessment, medical auditing, and review-guideline development
  • Senior hospitalist experience and strong clinical judgement are central to this engagement
  • Assignments may include complex, ambiguous, or unusual inpatient cases requiring detailed expert review
  • Project scope, workload, review criteria, and clinical focus may evolve depending on project requirements
  • Work must be completed without using confidential patient information, protected health information, proprietary clinical records, or other restricted third-party materials
