About the job Remote | Retail & Client Experience Specialist — $70–$150/hour
We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced retail and clienteling professionals with backgrounds in retail sales, luxury goods, client advisory, personal shopping, and other customer-facing sales environments.
This role focuses on reviewing and evaluating retail and clienteling-related documents and work products for quality, accuracy, relevance, and professional soundness. Selected professionals will apply practical retail and client-facing sales experience to assess materials, identify issues, and provide clear, structured feedback.
Key Responsibilities
Retail & Clienteling Review
- Review retail and clienteling materials for accuracy, completeness, and professional quality
- Assess whether recommendations reflect realistic customer-facing sales environments
- Evaluate client engagement, relationship-building, and service approaches
- Identify inconsistencies, impractical recommendations, or missing information
- Apply professional judgement grounded in real-world retail experience
Client Advisory & Relationship Management
- Evaluate materials involving customer relationships and personalised client service
- Review approaches to client engagement, follow-up, and relationship development
- Assess whether recommendations appropriately reflect customer needs and preferences
- Identify gaps in service quality or client communication
- Evaluate clienteling practices for practicality and effectiveness
Retail Sales
- Review sales-related strategies, scenarios, and supporting materials
- Assess customer-facing sales approaches for relevance and professional quality
- Evaluate recommendations related to product presentation, customer interaction, and sales execution
- Identify weaknesses in sales reasoning or service delivery
- Apply practical judgement from retail and client-facing environments
Luxury & Premium Retail
- Review materials related to luxury goods and high-touch customer experiences
- Assess whether service approaches reflect appropriate standards of client care
- Evaluate personalised selling and relationship-management practices
- Identify inconsistencies in customer experience or client communication
- Review materials for relevance to premium and luxury retail environments
Document & Spreadsheet Review
- Review retail-related documents and spreadsheets for accuracy and consistency
- Assess tables, calculations, supporting information, and written analyses
- Identify missing data, inconsistencies, or presentation issues
- Evaluate whether information supports stated conclusions
- Maintain strong attention to detail across work products
Presentation Review
- Review PowerPoint presentations for clarity, structure, and professional quality
- Assess messaging, organisation, and information hierarchy
- Identify inconsistencies or presentation issues
- Evaluate whether recommendations are communicated effectively
- Review materials against defined project guidelines
Structured Evaluation & Feedback
- Assess assigned work products against defined quality standards
- Identify substantive retail, clienteling, sales, analytical, and presentation issues
- Distinguish material concerns from minor editorial issues
- Provide clear, concise, and actionable written feedback
- Apply evaluation criteria consistently across assignments
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- At least 2+ years of relevant professional experience in retail, luxury goods, clienteling, personal shopping, or another client-facing sales environment
- Experience as a Client Advisor, Retail Sales Associate, Luxury Sales Professional, Personal Shopper, or similar professional
- Strong understanding of customer engagement, client relationships, and retail sales
- Strong analytical and document-review skills
- Strong written communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to follow structured guidelines
- Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Comfortable reviewing varied retail and client-facing work products
- Able to work independently and provide precise professional feedback
Engagement Details

- Compensation: $70–$150/hour
- Flexible scheduling based on project requirements
- Work focuses on retail, clienteling, customer-facing sales, document review, and structured evaluation
- Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project needs and performance
- Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party
