Remote | Spanish Language Learner (Recorded Conversation Sessions) — $25–$35/hour

We are sharing a specialised short-term opportunity for active Spanish learners who are native English speakers and interested in participating in recorded one-on-one Spanish lessons with experienced tutors.

This project is designed to capture authentic language-learning interactions across different proficiency levels. Participants will engage in natural Spanish conversations, speaking and listening exercises, and structured lessons while providing a realistic representation of the Spanish-learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

One-on-One Spanish Lessons

• Participate actively in individual Spanish-learning sessions with experienced tutors
• Engage in substantive conversations based on assigned topics and lesson structures
• Respond naturally to questions and conversational prompts
• Ask relevant questions during lessons
• Participate consistently throughout each scheduled session

Spanish Conversation Practice

• Communicate in Spanish using vocabulary and grammar appropriate to your current proficiency level
• Engage naturally in speaking and listening exercises
• Maintain meaningful conversation rather than relying on scripted responses
• Adapt to different conversational topics and lesson formats
• Demonstrate an authentic language-learning process, including natural questions and responses

Lesson Participation

• Follow tutor instructions and assigned lesson structures
• Complete conversational and language-learning activities in real time
• Remain focused and engaged throughout each session
• Avoid extended periods of silence or unrelated conversation
• Adapt comfortably to changing exercises and instructional approaches

Recorded Session Participation

• Participate in online sessions that will be recorded for project purposes
• Maintain consistent engagement throughout each recording
• Ensure sessions provide natural, high-quality learner–tutor interaction
• Follow project guidelines for recorded participation
• Attend scheduled sessions reliably and punctually

Ideal Profile

• Actively learning Spanish and interested in improving conversational ability
• Native English speaker with strong verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• At least one year of Spanish-learning experience through formal education, tutoring, self-study, or another structured learning method
• Familiarity with basic to intermediate Spanish vocabulary and grammar
• Comfortable participating in spoken Spanish conversations
• Able to interact naturally with tutors and respond to questions in real time
• Comfortable participating in recorded online sessions
• Reliable availability and strong punctuality
• Able to follow lesson structures and project instructions consistently
• Learners from diverse educational, professional, and cultural backgrounds are welcome

Engagement Details

• Part-time independent contractor engagement
• Fully remote
• Approximately three weeks
• Approximately seven hours per week
• Individual sessions generally last 20–30 minutes, with a minimum duration of 20 minutes
• Sessions conducted in Spanish and English
• Sessions will be recorded for project purposes
• Compensation: $25–$35/hour
• Flexible scheduling based on project and tutor availability
• Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project needs and performance
• Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is unavailable for this engagement
