About the job Remote | Field Marketing Manager — $50–$90/hour
We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced field marketing professionals with hands-on expertise in regional marketing, event strategy, pipeline generation, sponsorship decisions, and sales-aligned campaign execution.
This role focuses on designing and evaluating realistic field marketing work environments that reproduce the tools, information, decisions, and operational challenges encountered in professional marketing organisations. Selected experts will create authentic scenarios, define expected outcomes, review completed work, and establish standards that distinguish strong field marketing judgement from superficially plausible recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Field Marketing Scenario Design
- Develop realistic marketing tasks based on field marketing or event work you have personally performed
- Define the underlying commercial problem and the decision a strong practitioner should reach
- Create scenarios involving incomplete, conflicting, or messy operational information
- Ensure tasks require genuine marketing judgement rather than simple information retrieval
- Design challenges that reflect real field marketing and sales-alignment workflows
Regional Marketing & Pipeline Management
- Develop and evaluate scenarios involving regional pipeline performance
- Assess marketing activity against sales objectives and commercial targets
- Review pipeline gaps, recovery strategies, and regional priorities
- Evaluate trade-offs between competing marketing investments
- Identify weak assumptions or ineffective recommendations
Event Marketing & Follow-Up
- Design tasks involving event planning, execution, and post-event follow-up
- Assess whether leads and opportunities are prioritised appropriately
- Review follow-up strategies, ownership, timing, and conversion considerations
- Evaluate event outcomes against commercial objectives
- Identify gaps in event-to-pipeline execution
Sponsorship Strategy
- Evaluate sponsorship opportunities and related investment decisions
- Assess expected audience, strategic fit, pipeline potential, and business value
- Compare sponsorship options and commercial trade-offs
- Identify unsupported or poorly prioritised recommendations
- Review proposed sponsorship decisions for practical field marketing relevance
Account-Based Planning
- Develop scenarios involving joint marketing and sales planning against named account lists
- Assess campaign priorities, account segmentation, engagement strategies, and resource allocation
- Evaluate whether marketing plans appropriately support target-account objectives
- Identify coordination or prioritisation gaps
- Review recommendations for alignment between marketing and sales teams
Marketing Systems & Workflows
- Work with simulated environments containing realistic email, storage, CRM, project management, social media management, web analytics, SEO/AEO, advertising, CMS, product analytics, and customer-support information
- Specify the documents, dashboards, personas, and tool states required for authentic field marketing scenarios
- Reconcile information across multiple systems and sources
- Evaluate whether proposed actions appropriately reflect available data
- Identify missed signals, inconsistencies, or workflow failures
CRM & Project Management
- Work with workflows modelled on tools such as Salesforce, Asana, or Linear
- Review account, campaign, pipeline, and activity information
- Assess whether marketing and sales actions are properly coordinated
- Evaluate task ownership, prioritisation, and follow-through
- Identify operational gaps across multi-step marketing processes
Reference Answers & Evaluation Criteria
- Write or review reference solutions for field marketing scenarios
- Define clear criteria separating strong professional responses from plausible but incorrect ones
- Establish standards for diagnosis, prioritisation, execution, and commercial judgement
- Explain why particular decisions are stronger or weaker
- Ensure evaluation criteria reflect realistic field marketing practice
Quality Review & Evaluation
- Review completed scenarios and evaluate proposed marketing decisions
- Assess diagnostic reasoning, prioritisation, trade-offs, planning, execution, and reporting
- Evaluate multi-step work spanning several marketing and sales tools
- Identify missed issues, incorrect interpretations, or weak recommendations
- Provide clear written reasoning supporting evaluation decisions
Ideal Profile
- Hands-on professional experience in field marketing, regional marketing, or event marketing
- Experience owning a region or marketing programme against sales or pipeline targets, rather than solely executing event logistics
- Strong understanding of event follow-up, sponsorship strategy, regional pipeline development, and sales alignment
- Comfortable working with a CRM such as Salesforce
- Comfortable using project-management tools such as Asana, Linear, or equivalent platforms
- Strong ability to interpret incomplete or conflicting information and make defensible commercial decisions
- Clear written reasoning and ability to explain why a marketing decision is effective or ineffective
- Prior experience developing AI training environments, reinforcement-learning environments, or simulated business case studies is strongly preferred
- Rubric Academy or Rubric Bootcamp certification is strongly preferred
- Comfortable working independently with structured evaluation frameworks and project guidelines
