Remote | Microbiologist — $70–$90/hour

We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced Microbiologists with strong expertise in microbiology, bacterial and fungal systems, microbial physiology, medical microbiology, scientific documentation, and data-quality evaluation to contribute to an advanced AI training and biological-science evaluation project.

Selected professionals will analyse microbial systems, review microbiology-related scientific content, evaluate microorganism–disease relationships and antimicrobial effects, and provide structured scientific feedback supporting next-generation AI systems. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

Microbial & Medical Microbiology Analysis

• Analyse bacterial, fungal, and algal systems, including structure, physiology, growth, adaptation, and environmental interactions
• Review microbiology-related scientific content for accuracy and completeness
• Evaluate relationships between microorganisms and disease
• Assess pathogen-related scenarios and distinguish supported biological interpretations from unsupported conclusions
• Apply sound microbiological reasoning across varied scientific tasks

Antimicrobial & Scientific Evaluation

• Evaluate the effects of antibiotics and other agents on microbial populations
• Review antimicrobial mechanisms, susceptibility concepts, and microbial responses
• Identify factual, logical, or interpretive issues in scientific explanations
• Apply project rubrics and quality criteria consistently
• Support accurate evaluation of microbiology-related datasets and content

AI Evaluation & Documentation

• Review AI-generated microbiology content for scientific accuracy
• Identify unsupported claims, missing context, or incorrect reasoning
• Annotate biological data according to project requirements
• Document findings and scientific reasoning clearly
• Communicate complex microbiological concepts to interdisciplinary teams

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of microbiology, bacterial systems, and fungal biology
• Understanding of microbial structure and physiology
• Familiarity with medical microbiology and microorganism–disease relationships
• Ability to evaluate antimicrobial effects and related scientific concepts
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to scientific accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
• Experience with scientific rubrics, biological annotation, AI, or machine-learning projects is beneficial
• Master's or PhD in a relevant field is advantageous
• No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required

• Compensation: $70–$90/hour
