Remote | Strategic Project Lead, Finance Expertise — $400,000–$550,000/year

We are sharing a full-time opportunity for an experienced strategic project leader with strong Finance expertise, project ownership, data operations, stakeholder management, and human-data workflow experience to lead complex projects supporting advanced AI organisations and data-intensive initiatives.

The role combines finance-domain expertise with end-to-end project execution. The successful candidate will translate ambiguous customer requirements into clear specifications, design and improve finance-focused workflows, coordinate Operations and Finance subject-matter experts, manage delivery milestones, and maintain direct communication with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Finance Workflow Leadership

• Own complex projects from scoping through execution and final delivery
• Translate customer requirements into structured project plans and finance-focused workflow specifications
• Define milestones, dependencies, deliverables, quality standards, and success criteria
• Design workflows supporting financial analysis, modelling, investment, accounting, or related data-intensive tasks
• Resolve blockers quickly and maintain delivery momentum

Data Operations & Quality

• Design and refine finance-focused data pipelines and human-data workflows
• Coordinate expert-driven review, annotation, and evaluation processes
• Improve workflow efficiency, scalability, and operational reliability
• Establish data-quality and review procedures
• Identify bottlenecks and implement practical process improvements

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Work closely with Finance experts, Operations teams, project leads, and customers
• Own communication across scope, quality, timing, progress, and risk
• Align contributors around clear responsibilities and execution expectations
• Provide concise updates, feedback, and next steps
• Support rapid mobilisation of expert teams for new project requirements

AI & Human-Data Project Delivery

• Support projects involving AI training, evaluation, and human-generated data
• Translate customer objectives into scalable operational systems
• Apply Finance-domain judgement to project specifications and evaluation criteria
• Maintain strong execution across financial, operational, and technical workstreams
• Improve workflows supporting complex AI and data initiatives

Ideal Profile

• Strong professional background in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
• 2+ years of experience leading complex projects, operational workflows, or finance-related initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from ambiguity through delivery
• Strong project-management, execution, and stakeholder-management skills
• Experience coordinating cross-functional or expert teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work effectively with senior Finance professionals
• Strong attention to detail, ownership, urgency, and operational discipline
• Experience with financial modelling, investment analysis, financial markets, accounting, or related workflows is advantageous
• Experience with technical or data-intensive projects is valuable
• Familiarity with data pipelines, AI/ML organisations, data annotation, evaluation workflows, or human-in-the-loop systems is beneficial

Engagement Details

• Full-time engagement
• Fully remote
• Compensation: $400,000–$550,000/year
• Work will involve strategic project leadership, Finance workflows, stakeholder management, data operations, human-data pipelines, project delivery, and cross-functional coordination
• Responsibilities may span financial modelling, investment analysis, financial markets, accounting, data workflows, AI-training operations, and related project environments
• Regular communication with customers, Finance domain experts, Operations teams, and project leads is expected
• Project scope, priorities, customer requirements, and workflows may evolve based on business needs
• Work must be completed without using confidential, proprietary, regulated, client-identifiable, or otherwise restricted information belonging to any employer, financial institution, investment organisation, client, data provider, or other third party
