About the job Remote | Senior Video Producer & Motion Editor — $145–$195/hour
We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for UK-based video producers, editors, and multimedia professionals with exceptional experience in commercial film, branded content, motion design, and creative production.
This project supports advanced AI research focused on high-quality video and motion content. Selected professionals will create, review, and evaluate production-ready work using strong editorial judgment, contemporary creative standards, and practical experience from leading studios, agencies, or in-house production teams.
Key Responsibilities
Video Production & Creative Direction
- Develop and review high-quality commercial, branded, and campaign video content
- Evaluate creative concepts, production approaches, and execution quality
- Apply professional judgment to visual storytelling, pacing, tone, and audience impact
- Support polished delivery across technology, consumer, cultural, and brand-focused projects
End-to-End Production Management
- Scope projects, develop budgets, create schedules, and coordinate production workflows
- Manage client expectations and guide multidisciplinary creative teams through delivery
- Assess whether production plans are realistic, efficient, and aligned with creative objectives
- Review work from concept development through final delivery
Editing, Motion Design & Finishing
- Edit and refine video content using tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or Cinema 4D
- Evaluate cuts, transitions, timing, visual rhythm, compositing, and overall finish
- Review motion design and multimedia work for technical and creative quality
- Identify opportunities to improve clarity, pacing, polish, and visual impact
Content Evaluation & AI Training Support
- Create, review, and evaluate high-quality video and motion work for advanced AI research
- Apply structured criteria to assess production craft, editorial judgment, and contemporary visual standards
- Provide clear written feedback explaining creative strengths, weaknesses, and recommended improvements
- Collaborate asynchronously with research and creative specialists
Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
- Senior-level experience in video production, post-production, editing, motion design, or multimedia
- A strong reel or portfolio featuring commercial film, branded content, campaign work, or motion design
- Experience working within a respected motion design, creative production, or commercial film studio
- Professional experience producing content for leading technology companies, global brands, startups, or cultural institutions
- Strong editorial judgment and a sophisticated understanding of pacing, visual storytelling, and production quality
- Ability to assess creative work critically and communicate feedback clearly
- Current residence in the United Kingdom
- The legal right to work in the United Kingdom
Educational Background
- A degree in film production, media, animation, motion design, visual communication, or a related discipline may be helpful
- Formal training in video editing, post-production, motion graphics, or creative production may strengthen an application
- Equivalent professional achievement through studio work, commercial projects, and a high-quality portfolio may also be considered
- Industry experience and demonstrated production excellence are central to the selection process
Nice to Have
- Experience at BUCK, Tendril, Future Deluxe, Hornet, Giant Ant, Ordinary Folk, or a comparable studio
- A portfolio featuring world-class commercial or brand film
- Experience producing work for major technology companies or global brands
- Strong proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Cinema 4D, or related tools
- Background in multidisciplinary production environments
- Experience directing creative teams or managing complex productions
- Familiarity with campaign film, editorial content, and contemporary motion design
- Previous experience contributing to structured evaluation, creative review, or AI training-data projects
