Remote | Finance Research Consultant — Up to $95/hour

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for Germany-based finance professionals with experience in hedge funds, private equity, investment banking, equity research, corporate finance, venture capital, financial analysis, investment research, or related finance-sector work.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on AI-assisted finance research, financial reasoning evaluation, investment and corporate finance analysis, structured task execution, and high-quality project delivery. Selected professionals will translate real-world finance experience into structured examples, review finance-related outputs, and provide detailed feedback based on investment, analytical, corporate finance, or capital markets expertise.

Finance Research & Analytical Task Support

• Support finance-focused research tasks involving investment analysis, private markets, public markets, corporate finance, valuation, market research, or financial decision-making
• Translate real-world finance experience into structured examples, analytical workflows, research notes, and task-based deliverables
• Apply professional judgment from hedge fund, private equity, investment banking, equity research, corporate finance, or venture capital environments
• Support work across finance subdomains depending on professional background, project needs, and subject-matter expertise

Financial Reasoning & Output Review

• Review finance-related outputs for analytical accuracy, completeness, business logic, and practical usefulness
• Evaluate assumptions, calculations, market reasoning, investment logic, financial conclusions, or corporate finance analysis
• Identify unsupported claims, incomplete analysis, weak reasoning, inaccurate finance logic, or missing context
• Validate content against professional finance experience, market knowledge, and finance-sector best practices

Structured Feedback & Quality Control

• Provide clear written feedback explaining financial reasoning, investment judgment, analytical concerns, or corporate finance considerations
• Follow detailed task instructions, review criteria, and project-specific standards accurately
• Review discrete finance deliverables and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate through asynchronous project workflows to improve finance-focused AI-assisted outputs and research quality

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

• At least 2 years of professional experience in finance, ideally within hedge funds, private equity, investment banking, equity research, corporate finance, venture capital, or related finance roles
• Experience working at top-tier finance firms, investment platforms, advisory firms, corporate finance teams, or comparable high-quality financial environments
• Strong ability to reason through financial analysis, investment decisions, market dynamics, valuation logic, or corporate finance problems
• Ability to clearly articulate finance reasoning in written form
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inaccurate assumptions, incomplete analysis, weak conclusions, or calculation issues
• Comfort reviewing finance-related AI-assisted outputs and applying detailed evaluation criteria
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous, project-based environment
• Current Germany-based location

Nice to Have

• Experience with financial modeling, valuation, investment memos, market research, due diligence, transaction analysis, portfolio analysis, or corporate finance reporting
• Familiarity with hedge fund strategies, private equity workflows, investment banking deliverables, equity research reports, venture capital analysis, or strategic finance work
• Experience creating research summaries, investment notes, analytical reviews, structured finance tasks, or evaluation materials
• Comfort working with financial documents, market data, spreadsheets, reports, or multi-step analytical tasks
• Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly for structured review and evaluation workflows

Contract Details

• Independent contractor role
• Fully remote with flexible scheduling
• Candidates should currently be based in Germany
• Minimum expected commitment is at least 10 hours per week depending on availability, onboarding status, task quality, and project needs
• Initial engagement is expected to run for a minimum of four weeks, with potential for extension depending on project scope and performance
• Work may be structured around finance research deliverables, analytical review tasks, structured evaluations, or task-based assignments
• Competitive rates of up to $95 USD per hour depending on finance expertise, task quality, and project scope
• Screening may include resume or experience summary review, finance background assessment, and a brief sample task
• Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
• Projects may be extended, shortened, or adjusted depending on scope and performance
