Remote | Financial Systems Expert — $90–$170/hour

We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced accounting and financial systems professionals with strong expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, ERP platforms, and accounting operations to contribute to an advanced AI training and evaluation project.

Selected professionals will evaluate AI-generated accounting outputs, review financial statements and close workpapers, assess financial-system workflows, and provide structured feedback grounded in real-world accounting standards and practices. The work combines professional accounting judgement with hands-on ERP and financial systems expertise across processes ranging from transaction capture and reconciliations to month-end close and financial reporting. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Output Evaluation

• Evaluate AI-generated accounting outputs for technical accuracy and consistency with established accounting standards
• Review accounting treatments, calculations, journal entries, and supporting explanations
• Identify incorrect treatments, unsupported conclusions, calculation errors, and incomplete accounting logic
• Assess whether outputs accurately reflect real-world accounting practices and financial-reporting requirements
• Apply professional accounting judgement when reviewing complex or ambiguous scenarios

Financial Statements, Reconciliations & Close Review

• Review and analyse financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end close workpapers
• Identify misstatements, inconsistencies, unsupported balances, and reconciliation issues
• Determine appropriate accounting treatments and document the rationale behind corrections
• Evaluate journal entries and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Apply practical experience from corporate accounting, audit, bookkeeping, FP&A, or related finance functions

Financial Systems & Workflow Evaluation

• Assess accounting workflows and financial-system logic across platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero, Dynamics 365, and comparable systems
• Review how accounting transactions move through ERP and financial reporting environments
• Identify workflow issues, configuration weaknesses, or system behaviour that may affect accounting accuracy
• Apply hands-on financial systems knowledge to evaluate realistic accounting scenarios
• Contribute examples reflecting modern transaction, close, reconciliation, and reporting processes

Rubric-Based Evaluation & Expert Feedback

• Apply written rubrics and grading guidelines consistently when rating or ranking model outputs
• Flag ambiguous or exceptional cases that fall outside existing evaluation criteria
• Develop realistic accounting scenarios and high-quality reference answers
• Deliver clear, actionable written feedback to project and model-development teams
• Explain accounting conclusions, corrections, and financial-system issues clearly and precisely

Ideal Profile

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in financial accounting, corporate accounting, audit, bookkeeping, financial reporting, management accounting, cost accounting, FP&A with substantive accounting responsibilities, or a closely related discipline
• Proven experience preparing or reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, or month-end close materials
• Strong accounting judgement and understanding of financial-reporting processes
• Hands-on experience with systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage Intacct, Dynamics 365, Workday, or comparable financial platforms
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel is highly valued
• Familiarity with adjacent finance tools such as BlackLine, Bill.com, Ramp, Brex, Stripe, Avalara, Anaplan, Tableau, or Power BI is advantageous
• Ability to identify accounting inaccuracies, workflow issues, and financial-system inconsistencies
• Prior paid human-data experience involving annotation, labelling, RLHF, AI-response evaluation, model evaluation, or rubric-based grading is advantageous but not required
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills at B2 level or above
• Reliable internet connection and readiness to begin promptly

• Independent contractor engagement
• Fully remote
• Compensation: $90–$170/hour
• Work will involve accounting evaluation, financial-statement review, reconciliations, financial-system analysis, rubric-based assessment, and expert written feedback
• Strong practical accounting expertise is the primary requirement for this engagement
• Hands-on ERP and financial-systems experience is highly relevant
• Prior paid AI human-data experience is beneficial but not mandatory
• No prior experience in AI is required
• Project scope, workload, timing, and evaluation standards may evolve depending on project requirements
• Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party
