About the job Remote | Travel Agent — $20–$35/hour
We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced Travel Agents and travel consultants with strong expertise in customer service, travel planning, booking workflows, scheduling, negotiation, sales, and client communication to contribute to an advanced AI training and travel-content evaluation project.
Selected professionals will evaluate travel-planning scenarios, review itineraries and booking processes, assess customer-service and sales interactions, and provide practical feedback grounded in real-world travel-industry experience. No prior experience in AI is required.
Key Responsibilities
Travel Planning & Booking Evaluation
- Review travel scenarios, itineraries, and booking workflows for practicality and completeness
- Assess scheduling across flights, accommodation, transfers, and activities
- Identify unrealistic, inefficient, or incomplete travel arrangements
- Evaluate alternative booking options and customer-value trade-offs
- Apply practical travel-industry judgement across varied traveller needs
Customer Service, Sales & Negotiation
- Review customer-service responses for clarity, professionalism, and usefulness
- Assess approaches to disruptions, changes, complex requests, and conflict resolution
- Evaluate sales, upselling, and cross-selling recommendations for relevance
- Apply negotiation and booking strategy to supplier, pricing, and service scenarios
- Recommend customer-centric improvements to travel interactions
Scenario Design & AI Evaluation
- Develop realistic travel-booking scenarios involving different travellers, destinations, and constraints
- Review AI-generated itineraries, booking recommendations, and customer communications
- Identify factual, operational, or communication weaknesses
- Analyse complex instructions and travel procedures for missing or inconsistent details
- Provide structured feedback supporting improved travel-related AI outputs
Ideal Profile
- 5+ years of experience as a Travel Agent or in a closely related travel-consulting role
- Strong expertise in travel planning and booking processes
- Proven customer-service, sales, and negotiation experience
- Strong scheduling, organisational, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to evaluate complex itineraries and travel procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong reading comprehension and attention to detail
- Familiarity with current travel-industry technologies and global destinations
- Ability to provide clear and constructive professional feedback
- No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required
Engagement Details
- Independent contractor engagement
- Fully remote
- Compensation: $20–$35/hour
- Work will involve travel-planning evaluation, itinerary review, booking workflows, customer service, negotiation, sales analysis, and AI-output assessment
- Assignments may involve booking scenarios, itineraries, destination planning, traveller requests, customer-service interactions, and travel-related sales content
- Collaboration will occur remotely with project leads and other subject-matter experts
- Project scope, workload, travel scenarios, and evaluation standards may evolve depending on project requirements
- Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, travel agency, supplier, traveller, institution, or other third party
