We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced visual professionals with strong expertise in photography, art direction, graphic design, illustration, curation, or related creative disciplines to contribute to an advanced AI training project focused on visual quality and aesthetic evaluation.

Selected professionals will review curated collections of visual content, identify images demonstrating exceptional aesthetic quality and originality, and provide clear written reasoning behind their selections. The work requires strong artistic judgement, refined visual taste, awareness of contemporary creative trends, and the ability to evaluate diverse imagery consistently. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

Visual Curation & Image Evaluation

• Review curated collections of aesthetic images across a range of visual genres and formats
• Assess images for overall visual quality, originality, creative value, and impact
• Identify work demonstrating exceptional composition, lighting, colour, styling, and technical execution
• Distinguish visually strong content from material that is competent but less distinctive or effective
• Apply consistent artistic judgement across large and varied image sets

Artistic Quality & Creative Assessment

• Evaluate composition, visual hierarchy, colour relationships, lighting, framing, and stylistic coherence
• Assess originality and determine whether imagery demonstrates distinctive creative thinking
• Consider both technical execution and broader aesthetic impact when making selections
• Apply professional visual standards across photography, design, illustration, and related creative content
• Identify subtle strengths and weaknesses that influence overall image quality

Written Feedback & Evaluation Rationale

• Document the reasoning behind image selections and critiques clearly
• Provide constructive and specific written feedback on visual quality and creative decisions
• Explain why particular images succeed or fall short against defined aesthetic standards
• Articulate nuanced visual observations in language that is clear and actionable
• Maintain consistency between evaluation decisions and written rationale

Quality Calibration & Creative Collaboration

• Collaborate with project trainers and other visual specialists to align on quality standards
• Participate in calibration discussions involving ambiguous or subjective visual cases
• Adapt to evolving project guidelines and aesthetic evaluation criteria
• Help maintain consistency across reviewers and visual-content categories
• Contribute to the development of diverse, high-quality datasets reflecting refined aesthetic judgement

Ideal Profile

• Demonstrated expertise in photography, art direction, graphic or brand design, illustration, visual curation, or a closely related creative discipline
• Strong ability to evaluate visual work critically and consistently
• Acute visual discernment across composition, lighting, colour, styling, originality, and technical execution
• Solid portfolio or professional track record demonstrating strong visual taste and artistic rigour
• Previous experience reviewing, selecting, commissioning, or critiquing visual content is advantageous
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to explain subjective visual decisions with clear and structured reasoning
• Current awareness of visual trends, cultural references, and emerging aesthetics in photography and design
• Comfortable working independently and maintaining quality across repeated evaluation tasks
• Self-motivated and able to meet project deliverables reliably in a remote environment
• No prior experience in AI research or model training is required
