About the job Remote | Licensed Architect & AI Evaluation Specialist — $60–$85/hour
We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for licensed US architects with professional experience in architectural design, building codes, project delivery, and industry-standard design and modelling tools.
This role supports an AI research initiative focused on improving how advanced systems understand and reason about architecture. Selected professionals will evaluate written and AI-generated content, answer domain-specific questions, identify useful reference materials, and provide practical insight into architectural workflows, standards, and professional decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Content Evaluation
- Review written content and AI-generated responses for technical accuracy, relevance, and professional quality
- Assess whether architectural concepts, recommendations, and conclusions reflect real-world practice
- Identify factual errors, unsupported assumptions, and missing design considerations
- Evaluate content across residential, commercial, institutional, and related project types
Domain-Specific Analysis
- Answer architecture questions using clear, well-reasoned explanations
- Apply professional judgment to design, documentation, code, and project-delivery scenarios
- Assess whether responses account for practical constraints, stakeholder needs, and applicable standards
- Provide corrections and supporting rationale where content requires improvement
Codes, Standards & Reference Materials
- Review the application of building codes and architectural standards, including the International Building Code
- Identify reliable reference materials relevant to assigned topics
- Assess whether cited guidance is appropriate for the project context
- Highlight jurisdictional, technical, or procedural considerations affecting architectural decisions
Workflow & Tool Expertise
- Share insight into how architects use Revit, AutoCAD, BIM platforms, and related design tools
- Evaluate content involving architectural documentation, coordination, modelling, and project workflows
- Explain common professional practices across design development and construction documentation
- Collaborate asynchronously with a small group of subject-matter experts
Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
- At least 2 years of professional architecture experience
- An active professional architecture licence in the United States
- Experience across residential, commercial, institutional, or multiple project types
- Strong familiarity with building codes, professional standards, and architectural documentation
- Practical experience using Revit, AutoCAD, BIM, or comparable tools
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Strong written communication, analytical judgment, and attention to detail
- Reliable availability for approximately 10 hours per week
- Current residence in the United States
Educational Background
- A professional degree in architecture from a recognised institution is required
- Active US architectural licensure is required
- Additional training in building codes, BIM, sustainability, project delivery, or construction administration may strengthen an application
- Continuing education relevant to professional architecture practice may also be valuable

- A portfolio of built or realised architectural work
- Experience working across more than one project type
- Familiarity with construction documentation, consultant coordination, and project delivery
- Knowledge of accessibility, life-safety, zoning, or sustainability requirements
- Experience reviewing or mentoring the work of junior architects or designers
- Comfort using AI tools such as ChatGPT or comparable systems
- Previous experience with content evaluation, structured feedback, or AI training projects
- Familiarity with quality-assurance or peer-review processes in architectural practice
