About the job Remote | Litigator / Practicing Attorney (US) — $80–$140/hour
We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced U.S.-licensed litigators and practicing attorneys with strong expertise in legal reasoning, litigation strategy, legal writing, analytical review, and complex case evaluation to contribute to an advanced AI training and legal-content evaluation project.
Selected professionals will review AI-generated legal content, assess briefs, arguments, memoranda, and litigation-oriented responses for accuracy and professional quality, and provide expert judgement on complex or ambiguous legal issues. No prior experience in AI is required.
Key Responsibilities
Litigation Analysis & Legal Reasoning
- Evaluate complex legal questions, factual scenarios, and competing interpretations
- Review briefs, arguments, memoranda, motions, and related litigation content
- Assess whether conclusions are supported by applicable legal principles and facts
- Identify gaps, unsupported assumptions, inaccurate statements, or weak issue framing
- Apply practical trial, appellate, or litigation judgement to nuanced matters
Legal Writing & AI Evaluation
- Review AI-generated legal outputs for substantive accuracy, analytical rigour, and professional usefulness
- Draft or refine sample legal arguments and litigation-oriented content
- Improve clarity, organisation, precision, and argumentative coherence
- Distinguish substantive errors from stylistic preferences
- Provide clear, actionable feedback supporting model improvement
Quality Review & Complex Case Assessment
- Apply calibrated judgement to ambiguous or fact-sensitive legal scenarios
- Identify when additional authority or factual development would be required
- Evaluate whether legal analysis appropriately reflects uncertainty
- Support consistent evaluation standards across reviewers
- Collaborate asynchronously while maintaining high standards of legal accuracy and professional quality
Ideal Profile
- JD from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school
- Active licence in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 3–15 years of post-JD legal experience
- Strong background in litigation, trial practice, or appellate work
- Demonstrated expertise in legal reasoning, analytical review, and legal writing
- Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and precisely
- Judicial clerkship experience is highly valued
- Trial experience, federal court admissions, or appellate-practice experience is advantageous
- Law journal editorial experience, published legal writing, or legal teaching experience is beneficial
- Strong judgement in ambiguous or fact-sensitive matters
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required

- Compensation: $80–$140/hour
- Work will involve legal reasoning, litigation analysis, legal writing, brief and memorandum review, complex-case evaluation, and AI-generated legal-content assessment
- Assignments may involve trial, appellate, litigation, briefing, motion practice, and professional legal-writing scenarios
- Project scope, workload, legal topics, and evaluation standards may evolve depending on project requirements
- Work must be completed without using confidential, privileged, proprietary, client-identifiable, sealed, or otherwise restricted information belonging to any client, law firm, court matter, employer, government entity, or other third party
