About the job Remote | QA Engineer — $140,000–$180,000/year
We are sharing a full-time opportunity for an experienced QA Engineer with strong expertise in manual testing, automation testing, regression coverage, defect management, test planning, and software quality assurance to support the delivery of reliable, high-quality software products.
The role will work closely with engineering, product, and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will own testing across new features, product improvements, and bug fixes while strengthening automated coverage, identifying quality risks, and helping improve overall QA practices.
Key Responsibilities
Manual Testing & Test Execution
- Design and execute comprehensive manual test cases and test scenarios
- Test new features, product improvements, and bug fixes
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
- Validate expected behaviour across varied user and product scenarios
- Maintain strong coverage across critical workflows and release paths
Automation Testing
- Build and maintain automated tests
- Improve regression coverage through effective automation
- Integrate automated testing into ongoing development workflows
- Identify areas where automation can reduce repetitive manual effort
- Maintain reliable and maintainable test suites as the product evolves
Defect Identification & Validation
- Identify, document, reproduce, and track software defects
- Provide clear reproduction steps and relevant technical context
- Work with engineers to clarify defects and verify fixes
- Perform retesting and regression validation after resolution
- Maintain visibility into defect status throughout the development lifecycle
Test Planning & Quality Risk Management
- Develop testing strategies aligned with feature and release requirements
- Identify quality risks early in the development process
- Prioritise testing effort based on product impact and technical risk
- Ensure appropriate test coverage before release
- Communicate blockers, risks, and quality findings clearly to stakeholders
Agile & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams
- Participate in planning, refinement, and release cycles
- Review requirements and identify potential testing gaps
- Provide QA input during feature development and implementation
- Support rapid iteration while maintaining strong quality standards
QA Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve QA workflows and testing practices
- Strengthen regression strategies and release-validation processes
- Improve consistency in defect documentation and test management
- Contribute to better testing efficiency and product reliability
- Help establish scalable quality practices as development velocity increases
Ideal Profile
- Proven professional experience in software quality assurance
- Strong background working in agile and fast-paced development environments
- Strong manual testing fundamentals
- Demonstrated experience with test planning and execution
- Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining automated tests
- Familiarity with modern testing frameworks and automation practices
- Experience performing functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and release validation
- Experience with bug-tracking systems and test-management tools
- Familiarity with version-control platforms
- Proven ability to identify, document, reproduce, and validate software defects
- Strong understanding of regression strategies, test coverage, and QA best practices
- Clear communication and strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Engagement Details

- Base compensation: $140,000–$180,000/year
- Work will involve manual testing, test automation, regression testing, defect management, and release validation
