We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced Semiconductor Devices & Microelectronics Experts with strong expertise in semiconductor device physics, microfabrication, process integration, device modelling, reliability, materials, and microelectronics engineering to contribute to an advanced AI training and semiconductor-technology evaluation project.
Selected professionals will analyse semiconductor-device concepts, fabrication and integration processes, device scaling, reliability, and materials, while reviewing AI-generated technical content for accuracy and engineering quality. No prior experience in AI is required.
Key Responsibilities
Device Physics, Scaling & Modelling
- Analyse semiconductor-device operating principles and physical mechanisms
- Evaluate device behaviour across different operating regimes
- Review device models, scaling strategies, and performance predictions
- Assess trade-offs involving power, speed, leakage, and reliability
- Identify technically inaccurate or incomplete explanations
Fabrication, Materials & Reliability
- Review microfabrication processes, process flows, and integration strategies
- Analyse process variation, manufacturability, yield, and optimisation considerations
- Evaluate materials used in semiconductor and electronic-device fabrication
- Assess degradation mechanisms, failure modes, reliability testing, and qualification approaches
- Connect materials, fabrication choices, and process conditions with device performance
AI Evaluation & Technical Review
- Review AI-generated semiconductor and microelectronics content for accuracy and completeness
- Identify technical errors, oversimplifications, weak assumptions, or missing context
- Evaluate practical relevance across device, process, manufacturing, and reliability scenarios
- Provide structured expert feedback supporting model improvement
- Document technical reasoning, assumptions, and conclusions clearly
Ideal Profile
- Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline
- Extensive experience in semiconductor devices or microelectronics engineering
- Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics and device design
- Hands-on exposure to microfabrication and semiconductor process integration
- Experience with device modelling, scaling, and performance optimisation
- Familiarity with semiconductor reliability testing and failure mechanisms
- Knowledge of materials used in semiconductor fabrication
- Understanding of manufacturing yield, process variation, and process optimisation
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication
- Experience with technical publications, patents, or collaborative R&D projects is advantageous
- No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required
Engagement Details

- Displayed compensation range: $66–$130/hour
