Remote | Computer Systems Analyst — $60–$120/hour

We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced Computer Systems Analysts with strong expertise in systems analysis, requirements gathering, SQL, business process modelling, troubleshooting, and technical consulting to contribute to an advanced AI training and systems-evaluation project.

Selected professionals will analyse complex systems and business processes, gather and translate requirements, develop process models, use SQL to investigate data and operational issues, and contribute expert judgement to AI training scenarios. The work requires strong analytical thinking, technical communication, and the ability to connect business needs with system-level solutions. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Analysis & Process Improvement

• Analyse complex computer systems and business processes
• Identify opportunities for improvement, optimisation, and innovation
• Evaluate system behaviour, dependencies, and operational constraints
• Translate business challenges into structured technical problems
• Recommend practical improvements aligned with project objectives

Requirements Gathering & Documentation

• Gather requirements from diverse technical and business stakeholders
• Document functional and non-functional requirements clearly
• Validate requirements for completeness, consistency, and feasibility
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and actionable deliverables
• Maintain alignment between stakeholder expectations and system objectives

Business Process Modelling

• Develop detailed models of existing and future-state business processes
• Use methodologies such as BPMN, UML, or comparable modelling approaches
• Identify process bottlenecks, redundancies, and improvement opportunities
• Document workflows, dependencies, and system interactions
• Support system enhancements through structured process analysis

SQL & Data Analysis

• Use SQL to extract, analyse, and interpret operational data
• Investigate system behaviour and support issue resolution through data analysis
• Develop queries for reporting, validation, and troubleshooting
• Identify data patterns that inform process or system improvements
• Translate analytical findings into clear technical and business insights

Troubleshooting & Technical Problem Solving

• Diagnose technical issues across systems, workflows, and data processes
• Identify root causes and propose actionable solutions
• Support ongoing platform and system-development initiatives
• Evaluate potential fixes for effectiveness and downstream impact
• Apply structured problem-solving methods to complex technical scenarios

AI Training & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Contribute domain expertise to the design and validation of AI-training data and scenarios
• Review technical scenarios for realism, accuracy, and practical relevance
• Collaborate remotely with project managers, developers, and other specialists
• Provide clear feedback on system behaviour, requirements, and technical assumptions
• Maintain strong quality standards across project deliverables

Ideal Profile

• At least 5 years of experience as a Computer Systems Analyst or in a closely related technical consulting role
• Strong expertise in systems analysis and requirements elicitation
• Experience with business process modelling using BPMN, UML, or comparable methodologies
• Advanced proficiency with SQL for analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting
• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented approach to technical documentation and quality assurance
• Experience collaborating successfully in remote or distributed project environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience supporting digital transformation or complex technology initiatives is highly valuable
• Exposure to AI-related initiatives is advantageous but not required
• No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required
