We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced public-sector procurement and RFI professionals with strong expertise in government acquisition processes, procurement documentation, response development, and professional review.

This role focuses on evaluating professional documents, spreadsheets, and presentation materials related to public-sector procurement and RFI response workflows. Selected experts will assess outputs for factual accuracy, completeness, procurement logic, presentation quality, and overall professional credibility.

Key Responsibilities

Public-Sector Procurement Review

  • Evaluate work products involving government and public-sector procurement processes
  • Review procurement documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with stated requirements
  • Assess whether responses appropriately address agency needs, evaluation criteria, and procurement objectives
  • Identify unsupported assumptions, missing requirements, and procedural inconsistencies
  • Apply professional judgement grounded in real-world acquisition and contracting workflows

RFI & Response Evaluation

  • Review Requests for Information and corresponding response materials
  • Assess whether responses address the requested scope clearly and comprehensively
  • Evaluate solution positioning, organisational capabilities, supporting evidence, and response structure
  • Identify omissions, inconsistencies, or claims that are not adequately supported
  • Determine whether submissions meet expected professional standards for public-sector engagements

Solicitation & Requirements Analysis

  • Interpret procurement instructions, evaluation factors, submission requirements, and supporting documentation
  • Assess whether proposed responses align with stated government or agency requirements
  • Identify mandatory elements, dependencies, and potential compliance gaps
  • Review how effectively requirements are translated into structured response content
  • Distinguish material procurement issues from minor presentation concerns

Document & Presentation Review

  • Evaluate professional documents and slide decks for clarity, structure, and completeness
  • Review executive and procurement presentations for logical flow and effective communication
  • Identify formatting, aesthetic, and presentation issues that reduce professional quality
  • Assess whether tables, charts, and supporting visuals accurately communicate relevant information
  • Ensure recommendations and claims are supported by the underlying materials

Spreadsheet & Supporting Analysis

  • Review spreadsheets supporting procurement, pricing, resource planning, or response development
  • Identify inconsistencies, calculation issues, unsupported inputs, or gaps in supporting logic
  • Assess whether quantitative materials align with the written response
  • Evaluate clarity, traceability, and usability of analytical work
  • Flag discrepancies that could materially affect submission quality

Structured Evaluation & Feedback

  • Assess assigned outputs against domain-specific quality criteria
  • Identify factual, procedural, analytical, and presentation errors
  • Distinguish substantive procurement deficiencies from minor editorial issues
  • Provide clear, structured written feedback explaining identified strengths and weaknesses
  • Apply evaluation standards consistently across documents, spreadsheets, and presentation materials

Ideal Profile

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in public-sector procurement, government contracting, acquisition, RFI/RFP response, proposal management, or a closely related field
  • Strong understanding of government procurement and solicitation processes
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing or developing RFIs, RFPs, procurement responses, or acquisition documentation
  • Strong ability to interpret requirements and assess response compliance
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint / Google Slides
  • Comfortable reviewing spreadsheets, documents, and complex professional work products
  • Native or professional fluency in English
  • Excellent written communication and ability to provide precise, structured feedback
  • Strong attention to factual, procedural, and presentation detail
  • Master's degree or higher from a recognised institution is advantageous

Engagement Details

  • Part-time independent contractor engagement

  • Flexible scheduling based on project requirements
  • Compensation: $70–$110/hour
  • Work includes evaluation of procurement documents, spreadsheets, and presentation materials
  • Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project needs and performance
  • Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party
  • H1-B and STEM OPT support is unavailable for this engagement
