Job Description:
As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for interviewing local businesses to assess their eligibility for participation in regional television shows and a comprehensive 12-month contract for marketing services. By following approved scripts, the Business Development Representative ensures alignment between potential clients and the branding opportunities offered through different divisions. The role involves presenting tailored marketing packages to qualified businesses and supporting them through the onboarding process.
This opportunity offers base pay PLUS commission, and a full benefit portfolio including health, dental, life, and 401k.

Specific responsibilities of the Business Development Representative include:
- Conduct interviews with decision makers at local businesses to qualify potential clients for a marketing package involving a company highlight in targeted television show programming and digital marketing services.
- Research target business and industry in preparation for discovery interview.
- Identify whether target business is a fit for offered services.
- Share approved content ideas for show segments with decision makers and gauge interest in participating.
- Follow up with the local business and provide marketing collateral on services and show properties.
- Work directly with management to onboard new show participants and sign new clients.
- Follow up on warm inquiries from marketing email campaigns.
This position involves handling pre-scheduled phone conversations as well as conducting cold calling when needed.
Experience and Skills
Requirements for this Business Development role include:
- Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with business owners, executives, and marketing professionals.
- Possess energetic phone presence and ability to connect with others via phone.
- Prior business-to-business sales experience preferred.
- Prior experience in TV, radio ad, or marketing services sales a plus.
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, internet research, and phone dialer system.
