About the job Captain

As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Captain to to be a part of our client's 5* hotel in Doha, Qatar.

As  Captain, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an unforgettable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Service: Provide exemplary service to guests, anticipate their needs, and ensure their satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
  2. Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of the F&B service team, including waitstaff and servers, to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  3. Menu Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and special dietary requirements, to assist guests with their selections and make recommendations.
  4. Order Management: Take and process guest orders accurately, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages.
  5. Table Set-up: Oversee the proper setup of tables, including arranging tableware, linens, and decorations, to create an inviting atmosphere.
  6. Quality Control: Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and temperature to maintain high standards.
  7. Billing: Handle guest billing, process payments, and resolve any billing discrepancies professionally.
  8. Training: Train and mentor new staff members, ensuring they understand our service standards and expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an F&B Captain or in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • A pleasing personality and a passion for providing exceptional guest service.
  • Must be eligible to work in Qatar.
