Job Overview

Our Client is in search of a Content Curator to help in conducting art exhibitions for Perfumery, Retail, Food & Beverage, Luxury goods, and Events Sponsorship.

Besides this, you should be able to conduct in-depth research to identify relevant information about artifacts and other art forms.

You should be able to display and store all pieces of art in proper order. Also, you should ensure ancient pieces are restored in a timely manner. Moreover, you should be able to apply for grants and maintain a record of all expenses.

As a Curator, you should be able to contribute your findings to research journals and publications. In addition to this, you should be able to keep updated and accurate records of artworks and present the same as and when required.

Responsibilities

  • Recording and maintaining necessary information about acquisitions
  • Arranging exhibits
  • Storing all pieces correctly
  • Negotiating prices with the clients
  • Requesting for grants to support research studies
  • Hiring, training, and supervising staff members
  • Showcasing the business at art exhibitions and other such events
  • Scheduling restoration appointments whenever required
  • Developing catalogs and instructional materials
  • Applying for government grants
  • Preparing and monitoring budget
  • Contributing articles and promotional materials to websites and social media posts
  • Addressing any inquiries from clients
  • Writing and submitting exhibition proposals
  • Maintaining a record of all artworks for authentication and identification purposes
  • Contributing information in research journals and publications
  • Contacting and negotiating with vendors for items such as statues, paintings, and sculptures
  • Planning and developing new collections and display items
  • Providing background information to clients and visitors about specific painting, sculptures and artifacts
  • Conducting fundraising activities and events

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in History, Museology or a related field
  • Proven work experience in the Museum as a Curator or a similar position in the relevant Mediaindustry
  • Knowledge of various art forms
  • Excellent research and time management skills
  • Having a keen eye for detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable individual with strong negotiation skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Good organizational and project management skills

Job Types: Internship, Temporary

Salary: From AED2,000.00 per month
