Senior Electrical Engineer

We are looking to hire Senior Electrical Engineer for our client in KSA.

Work closely with PMC Engineering Team related to the function and tasks of electrical engineering design as per project requirements. Review and monitor reports for the progress and programs of the project prepared by PMC. Monitor the preparation of project documents, the scope of works, standards, design drawings, specifications, and implementation schedules. Coordinate with the local authority regarding power requirements and internal power generation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Monitor the project schedule regarding the electrical system
• Report to the ISBL manager the progress of work, and bending issues with may affect the schedule and cost.
  
• Review and coordinate the required project specification for the electrical discipline and interface systems to be applied to the whole project.
  
• Review studies prepared by PMC .the review is according to the project requirements including; plans, designs, drawings, and specifications along with cost estimates and timing, as required.
  
• Participate with the PMC team in developing electrical unit control design.
  
• Check documents/specifications for tender, prepared by MPC. Includes outlining the scope of work required, quality and conditions of construction, the types and quantities of materials to be used
  
• Coordinates engineering details for projects including designing and calculating material and equipment requirements, preparing drawings, and forwarding internal memos to concerned Departments and contractors for follow-through to the construction stage.
  
• Facilitates and assists in the Preparation of statistical cost estimates for budgetary purposes including outlining modifications and change impact on the Capex to project and equipment.
  
• Evaluates and advises on bids/proposals received from consultants tenders/vendors including reviewing comparative estimate statements, recommending modifications, and determining the validity and reliability of technical content according to approved standards and contractual terms and conditions.
  
• Conducts the technical audit of the project's electrical engineering function to ensure that project consultants and contractors implement an effective project standard and fulfilling the contract requirements.
  
• Act as a focal point for all project electrical engineering subjects and interface with company project teams and contractors' representatives
  
• Utilizes project schedules and timing by means of bar charts, and flowcharts to ensure deliverables/installation/construction events occur at the various designated stages of the project's program.
  
• Participates and coordinates in monitoring construction work including attending site work and meetings, and advising on technical difficulties and contract variations.
  
• Liaise with other engineering disciplines to ensure coordination of technical issues, project design, and matters. Follows up to oversee the smooth flow of project processes between various disciplines.
  
• Provide relevant inputs to various types of records. Prepare a periodical plan and analysis reports on project progress outlining project status, scheduling, and relaying anomalies and difficulties arising.
  
• Participate in applying safety and quality management principles and process. As well as the HAZOP study
  
• Provide job training for Saudi employees including new trainees, as per Company policy.
  
• Perform any other duties with similar scope as may be required.
  

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Regular contact with associates and own level with his and others department in addition to next higher level within the department to discuss and coordinate the project implementation as well as for reporting and recommendation. Contact consultants, vendors, contractors, and manufacturers' representatives for technical information.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Qualification: B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience: 10-12 years experience in electrical engineering activities including project design and supervision of construction work with at least 3 years of project work in a chemical/petrochemical/mining field.

Skills:

• Working knowledge of international standards.
• Familiar with the use of computers for engineering applications.
