A major Australian construction group with an exceptional track record delivering large-scale and complex developments is building its prospective project team for one of Brisbane's most significant future construction programs. The opportunity is associated with a major multi-building development at Brisbane Showgrounds, Bowen Hills, forming part of the infrastructure and accommodation program supporting Brisbane 2032. Given the scale of the development, multiple buildings and work fronts will progress concurrently. We are seeking experienced Finishes Foremen capable of taking ownership of an allocated building, zone or group of floors and driving the complete fit-out programme through to Practical Completion and handover.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Manager / Senior Site Manager, you will:

• Lead finishes and fit-out delivery across an allocated building or project zone
• Manage finishing trades from façade completion through to handover
• Coordinate partitions, ceilings, joinery, tiling, flooring, painting, glazing, fixtures and final fit-out
• Drive progressive fit-out across multiple levels and concurrent work fronts
• Coordinate architectural finishes with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire services
• Plan subcontractors, materials and access to maintain programme
• Monitor subcontractor productivity, workmanship and quality
• Review drawings and resolve design, coordination and constructability issues
• Manage ITPs, inspections, QA, defects and rectification
• Drive progressive completion of apartments/rooms, common areas and associated spaces
• Ensure defects are identified and closed out progressively throughout delivery
• Maintain strong safety, housekeeping and protection of completed works
• Coordinate testing, commissioning and authority inspections
• Take allocated areas through Practical Completion and handover

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience as a Finishes Foreman / Finishes Supervisor
• Demonstrated experience across large-scale residential, multi-residential, hotel, student accommodation or similar high-volume developments
• Strong knowledge of architectural finishes and fit-out sequencing
• Proven ability to manage multiple trades across numerous floors and work fronts simultaneously
• Strong understanding of building services interfaces
• Excellent QA and progressive defects management capability
• Experience taking major projects through fit-out, commissioning, Practical Completion and handover
• Strong subcontractor management, planning and leadership capability
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications and construction documentation
• Tier 1 / major contractor experience advantageous
• Relevant trade background and/or construction qualifications highly regarded
• High-volume accommodation experience will be particularly relevant. We are looking for people who can drive repetitive fit-out efficiently at scale without compromising quality and who understand the importance of progressive completion when working toward immovable programme milestones.
