A dynamic Gold Coast-based real estate and construction firm, specializing in high-rise luxury and commercial developments, has delivered 815 premium residences across Southeast Queensland and has over 1,500 more in progress. Were now recruiting for an upcoming mixed-use project: three residential towers with 1,000 apartments, 12,000 sqm of office space, and a 5-star hotel on a 1-hectare site. Construction is set to begin by late 2024, with a projected 6-year timeline. We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead on-site operations for this flagship Mega Tower project on the Gold Coast. This pivotal role requires strong leadership, extensive construction knowledge, and a proven track record on high-rise, large-scale developments.
Reporting to the Director of Construction & Development and managing a team of 6, this role is responsible for the following:
- SITE LEADERSHIP: Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols are met consistently.
- PROJECT COORDINATION: Collaborate closely with the project management team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to streamline workflows and problem-solve effectively.
- QUALITY CONTROL: Implement rigorous quality standards, conducting regular inspections and addressing issues promptly to maintain superior build standards.
- HEALTH & SAFETY COMPLIANCE: Champion on-site safety, ensuring compliance with all local regulations and fostering a safe working environment for all personnel.
- RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: Coordinate labour, materials, and equipment efficiently, adapting as needed to project demands.
- REPORTING & DOCUMENTATION: Maintain detailed records of site activities, progress updates, and report regularly to senior management.
The attributes we seek include:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of site management / project management experience, with at least 10 years on high-rise or large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and project delivery frameworks and requirements.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Proven ability to deliver on schedule in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
