Senior Contract Administrator – Landmark Tower Development

We are representing a privately owned developer-builder delivering a landmark $2.5 billion mixed-use precinct on the Gold Coast, and an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join the team on one of the flagship tower stages. This is a major vertical construction project within a long-term multi-tower development pipeline, providing stability, strong project leadership and the opportunity to play a key commercial role within a developer-led delivery structure.

Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and site leadership team, the Senior Contract Administrator will oversee subcontractor procurement, contract administration and cost management across the project, ensuring commercial performance remains aligned with program delivery. The development forms part of a staged masterplan and will include:

  • 5-Star international hotel with branded residences
  • Luxury residential tower components
  • Retail and commercial podium levels
  • Extensive lifestyle and resort amenities
  • Major basement and supporting infrastructure

The project will be delivered under a full Design & Construct contract model, supported by in-house construction capability, with the broader precinct delivered through a 6–8-year staged program (2 + 2 tower delivery structure).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration of subcontractor packages across major tower construction works.
  • Preparation and management of subcontract agreements and scopes.
  • Cost reporting, forecasting and financial tracking of project packages.
  • Assessment and management of subcontractor variations and claims.
  • Coordination of procurement and subcontractor engagement processes.
  • Monitoring subcontractor performance and commercial compliance.
  • Supporting the project team in maintaining cost and program alignment.
  • Ensuring contractual compliance across all trade packages.
  • Providing structured reporting to senior project leadership.

Attributes:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10-15+ years in contract administration, focused on high-rise or mega-scale projects, with 5-10 years in Southeast Queensland construction sector.
  • Candidates must be highly proficient in QBCC Contract Law and have a proven track record in managing complex contracts.
  • Exceptional knowledge of construction law, risk management, and project delivery frameworks.
  • Strong financial and negotiation acumen, with demonstrated experience in budget management and cost forecasting.
  • Candidates with strong trade relationships will be highly desirable.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
