Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our team remotely. The successful candidate will work with a financial sector client and will be primarily responsible for creating and analyzing SQL queries to support data-driven decision-making. The BI Analyst will play a crucial role in extracting, analyzing, and visualizing data to provide actionable insights that drive business performance and strategic initiatives. This role requires the ability to work efficiently based on short requirements provided by the client.

Key Responsibilities:

• SQL Query Development: Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries to extract data from various databases and data warehouses.
• Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions and strategies.
• Reporting and Visualization: Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present data in a clear and actionable manner.
• Data Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data by performing data validation and quality checks.
• Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and other team members to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SQL queries, data models, and BI solutions to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in BI and data analytics to continuously improve processes and solutions.
• Client Requirements: Efficiently interpret and act on short requirements provided by the client to deliver timely and accurate BI solutions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a BI Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within the financial sector.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote work environment.
• Relevant certifications in SQL, BI tools, or data analytics are a plus.
